A significant recruitment budget is said to have been sanctioned by the club's owners Fenway Sports Group (FSG) and the money that comes into the club will also top up the pot of money available.
Jeremie Frimpong, Florian Wirtz and Milos Kerkez are all high on the agenda right now, and Liverpool have just received a massive hint regarding a possible approach for the latter.
Kerkez confirms update on his transfer status
Once Bournemouth had finished their Premier League campaign with a win at the Vitality Stadium over Leicester, the players were given the opportunity to recap the season with the fans.
Kerkez took to Instagram and posted the following statement: "38 games, 38 started. We finished the job and broke the record. Thanks to the fans and everyone for support. Thanks to the gaffer for trusting me to start all 38 games and special thanks to the one above for keeping me safe and healthy; and of course, nothing would be possible without my family.
"I don't know what will happen in [the] next week, but Cherries family, thank you!"
The transfer window will open in just seven days time on June 1 and Liverpool will be looking to wrap up a transfer for the Hungarian as soon as possible. Other reports have backed up Kerkez's update.
This morning, we saw Fabrizio Romano offered an update on the 21-year-old full-back.
He said: "...Could be done soon. Kerkez remains very keen on the move, personal terms are not an issue."
Furthermore, we then received David Ornstein's perspective on the transfer situation.
Speaking to NBC Sports, he said: "I think we could see that ramp up in the coming days."
As such, it feels as though we're on the brink of the move being confirmed, with no other clubs in a position to turn the Hungarian's head. The only sticking point might be the player's wage demands and the specific transfer that Bournemouth will be demanding in order to sanction the move.
