Liverpool star joins Darwin Nunez on transfer list
Liverpool are ready to sell another first-team star. He joins Darwin Nunez on the transfer list.
Darwin Nunez is all but certain to leave Liverpool in the summer. Though, it’s been clear that was the case for some time now.

Anfield Watch exclusively revealed back in January that a bid had arrived from Saudi Arabia. Liverpool would have accepted it, too, if not for the timing - they didn’t want to lose a first-team regular mid-season without a truly ridiculous price.
Now, you can argue that £70m was already ridiculous but the Reds wanted £85m for a January move. They won’t have any problems accepting the original figure once the campaign is done - and the bid is expected to return.
Liverpool, then, can count on one major sale this summer. Nunez isn’t the right fit under Arne Slot, as shown by his lack of starts over the second half of the campaign.
Though, there are claims in Portugal that Liverpool’s real reason for not playing him is that they’ll owe Benfica €5m if he starts one more Premier League game. Slot has since denied that, however.
Nunez is not going to be the only player who leaves the club, though. Liverpool have eyes on a lot of targets right now and will need to clear up space in the squad if they’re to get them all.
For now, there’s only one other player clearly on the transfer list with Nunez and ‘likely’ to leave.

Kostas Tsimikas looks certain to leave
Liverpool are in the market for a new left-back right now. In fact, they appear to be chasing that position more than any other as we head into the summer window.
Milos Kerkez is the name linked the most consistently. The Reds have had their eyes on him for a while, with Anfield Watch revealing initial talks back in November.
The Athletic reports, though, that any new left-back would ‘likely’ see Tsimikas leave the club. And given Liverpool’s intense pursuit of a left-back right now, it’s safe to say that the plan is indeed to sell the Greek defender this summer.
Now, that’s not to say that Tsimikas is definitely off. For one, Liverpool may not find the right left-back to take over from him.
Kerkez is very expensive for a relatively inexperienced full-back, while there aren’t too many other options who fit the bill. Antonee Robinson is brilliant but much older than Liverpool typically want. Jorrel Hato would likely cost similar to Kerkez but with even less experience.

Tsimikas may just end up as the best option going forward but Liverpool will hope that’s not the case. The ideal summer sees someone arrive and the no.21 leave - but we’ll have to see what happens.
