World-class star jets off to Liverpool for secret meeting
A world-class star was reportedly in Liverpool for a secret meeting this week.
We are very much at the early stages of the transfer window, which means it's very difficult to predict just exactly what Richard Hughes and his recruitment team are planning to do.

At this moment in time potential targets are being sourced out, key meetings are being held and discussions are taking place. But what Liverpool will be really thinking, they will be keeping close to their chests.
We won't really find out until concrete moves are taking place.
What we can deduce based on the meetings being held is that Liverpool do want to sign both a left and a right-back, they would also likely want to bring in a no.9 and potentially a centre-back.
One surprising position where the Reds are exploring moves is in the no.10 department.

Why Florian Wirtz jetted off to Liverpool this week
Anfield Watch understands Morgan Rogers is a target for the Reds meanwhile Xavi Simons has also been linked with a move recently.
But it's not just the duo who are on the club's radar. In a major bombshell it was revealed that Liverpool are also actively engaging with Florian Wirtz's camp in order to bring him to Anfield.
According to a report in Kicker, Wirtz even travelled to England with his representatives, who are his parents, on a private jet to hold a secret meeting with Liverpool and missed Bayer Leverkusen training in order to 'explore the conditions' of the club's facilities on Merseyside.
The German outlet does not reveal how the meeting went, but the fact that Liverpool were willing to go the extra mile to fly him out is a massive statement of the club's intent.
Wirtz is probably one of the biggest talents in European football. He's an elite footballer, who is at a world-class category now following his performances for Bayer Leverkusen and the German national team.
He's made 31 goal contributions so far this season - which showcases the kind of player we are talking about. But there's so much more to Wirtz than just goals and assists.
He does everything. He can take players on, operate in the half-spaces, provide a great level of intensity both on and off the ball and crucially link-up really well with his teammates.
Bringing him in would be a legendary move for Liverpool. At this stage, with Bayern Munich and Manchester City also hot on his heels it feels like a distant fantasy.

But there must be a sliver of hope, otherwise Liverpool would not have bothered to meet with him.

He was also talking to city, so don't get your hopes up. Money talks, I bet they never mentioned the 115 charges of corruption, sorry 115 charges.
What charges ?
The charges that carry no punishment.
