€25m Real Madrid deal moves forward closer to Liverpool

Liverpool didn’t get the reinforcements they might have wished for on the right wing and up top in summer.

Bradley Barcola and Victor Munoz were both recruited as wide forward - but each of them prefers to play from the left. That means Andoni Iraola lacks a player with that Mohamed Salah profile - a left-footed, right-sided attacker.

And what about up front? The Anfield side are without Hugo Ekitike until Christmas or the New Year - leaving Alexander Isak ploughing a lone furrow during the autumn and winter months.

Endrick would be ideal

Ideally Iraola could do with adding a player for each position to complete his squad’s attacking depth. And in the shape of Endrick of Real Madrid the ideal candidate could be set to arrive.

Because Defensa Central is reporting that the Brazilian is effectively on trial over the next few months under Jose Mourinho at the Bernabeu.

With Carlos Espi arriving for €25m from Levante over the summer and getting off to a great start it has diminished 20-year-old Endrick’s chances of game time for Madrid.

Furthermore the addition of Yan Diomande means even in his back-up position of right-sided attacker that the former Palmeiras prodigy is unlikely to get a chance.

Liverpool will be right there for his signature in winter - on loan - if that were to happen with Endrick tipped to seek another loan move.

“During the summer, Endrick's future was one of the most uncertain at Real Madrid,” the report reads.

“He ultimately stayed, but if he doesn't get many opportunities, they might look to loan him out again.

“Especially if Mourinho continues to trust Carlos Espí and doesn't see the Brazilian as necessary.

“He was pleased with Endrick’s performance in preseason and ultimately blocked his exit. Now he’s giving himself until Christmas to evaluate his performance in official matches.

“Mourinho wants to assess him after his injury to see if he's truly a useful player for him, especially considering Espí's impressive performance with his goal against Espanyol.

“This could mean Endrick has to look for another loan move in the winter transfer window.”

Endrick has been injured towards the beginning of the season - appearing on the bench in Saturday’s 4-1 win over Rayo Vallecano.

Without match rhythm - and with Mourinho leaning on other options - the time could soon come for Endrick to take his leave and arrive at Liverpool.

The Reds made contact for the left-footer over the summer but were ultimately told no deal was possible.
