Liverpool to make contact with Euro giants for 'crazy fast' attacker
Liverpool's attack is going to be almost brand new next season.
Mohamed Salah is leaving and, since Hugo Ekitike is probably going to be out until January, the Anfield outfit need to figure out ways to stay competitive.
Indeed, players such as Cody Gakpo and Rio Ngumoha could take starring roles in Arne Slot's team next term but, they need more players so that they have enough depth to last the season.
Injuries have plagued the Anfield outfit for as long as many can remember with the 2025-26 one of their worst in recent memory.
So with this in mind, it's hardly surprising to see the club get linked with so many players.
And now, it seems like they could be about to make another move for one of their long-term transfer targets.
Liverpool are likely to 'come back' for Bradley Barcola in the summer
Bradley Barcola has been one of Liverpool's long-term targets over the last couple of transfer windows.
Even though the Frenchman is currently playing for one of the best teams in the world, his teammates are often being chosen over him to start games.
Kvicha Kvaratskhelia, Desire Doue and Ousmane Dembele are all world-class players and, even though Barcola is on a similar level, it's hard for him to complain to Luis Enrique, especially since they're in the final of the Champions League once again.
However, if he doesn't get to start a few more games this term, he could look to join another club where he'd be a star man, which is exactly where Liverpool come in.
That is, if an update from Sky Sports journalist Sacha Tavolieri is to be believed.
"Remember Djamel, when Liverpool went through his agent to make an offer (rejected) to PSG," he wrote.
"My feeling is that they're going to come back [for Barcola] this summer."
Bradley Barcola would be an answer to most of Liverpool's attacking problems
Liverpool's attacking line has lacked that spark that fans are used to seeing this season.
Most people expected Salah and Alexander Isak to be an unstoppable force but, in reality, that has been far from the truth.
Ngumoha has arguably been a shining light within the Reds' ranks this term but, since he's only 17 years old, Liverpool can't rely on him to start two games every week.
So, that's why Barcola would be perfect.
The fact that the Frenchman has been described as a "crazy fast" winger by Ekitike says all that fans need to know.
Pace is one of the main things that has been lacking at Liverpool this term so, if Barcola comes in, he may not be the answer to every single one of the Reds' problems but it'd certainly be a step in the right direction for the club.
