Arne Slot set to make radical Liverpool decision
Arne Slot is set to make a radical decision about Liverpool's future according to a recent report.
Things have not turned out in the way the Dutchman wanted his second season to go so far. Slot has suffered an unprecedented band run of form, and it feels like there is very little light at the end of the tunnel.
Slot's side look all over the place. They are disjointed and disorganised and they have been since the start of the season.
Perhaps the most worrying of them all is the fact that Slot hasn't been able to find an answer to Liverpool's problems. Everything he's thrown at the wall has not stuck.
In fact, Liverpool seem to just get worse and more chaotic after every game.
It's why a lot of Liverpool fans are concerned right now. There was so much excitement and build-up at the start of the season but all of that has now abated and turned into apathy.
Right now there is no question of doubt that Slot's future is at risk. His job is under scrutiny. Any manager who has achieved this amount of bad results at Liverpool would be under pressure.
Naturally, Slot must also be questioned and if results do not improve, Liverpool should be looking elsewhere.
Sadly, that is simply the business of football and the nature of the game in the modern era.
Right now, Slot has enough credit in the bank to be trusted to turn this around. He's been proven to be a tactical mastermind during his first eight months in charge of the club, when he could do nothing wrong.
It's that Slot that needs to emerge and turn his wrongs right.
According to Indy Kaila, he's ready to make a radical decision, too.
In a recent post on X, referring to sources from within Liverpool's management, Indy revealed that Slot is planning on a major tactical shift.
According to Indy, after the international break the plan is for Liverpool to test a completely new formation with both Hugo Ekitike and Alexander Isak involved.
What this new formation could look like remains to be seen. But it's a massive change considering Slot has pretty much always stuck to his 4-2-3-1 system wherever he has been, and not just at Liverpool.
For him to deviate from that is a very radical decision. Whether it works out or not, only time will tell.
