Liverpool players set to play their FINAL game

Liverpool play their final game of the season against Crystal Palace. It’s set to be the final one for a good few players.

The end of the season is here and that means it’s time to say goodbye. Though, it’s unclear who we’ll be saying goodbye to.

Liverpool are embarking on a massive summer for the squad, with several incomings expected. Of course, incoming players means outgoing players.

And with the final game of the season, it means this will be the final time many of these players wear the red shirt. But who might be leaving?

Here are all the first-team stars who could leave this summer.

Trent Alexander-Arnold

Here’s one who will leave this summer. Trent Alexander-Arnold has confirmed his departure from Liverpool with the end of his contract.

It’s not yet confirmed where he’s off to, but it’s entirely expected to be Real Madrid. Now, whether he actually features in the fixture or not is another matter.

But it’s certainly the final time that Alexander-Arnold appears in a Liverpool squad.

Darwin Nunez

Darwin Nunez feels like a near-certain exit. Liverpool rejected the chance to sell him back in January to Saudi Arabia, as exclusively revealed by Anfield Watch.

But offers will return this summer, with Atletico Madrid also in the mix. It’s fully expected that Liverpool will accept some sort of deal to end the Uruguayan’s time at the club.

Ibrahima Konate

A very interesting one. Ibrahima Konate’s contract expires in 2026, meaning this is the final summer Liverpool can sell him for some sort of decent figure.

But the Reds do hope to agree a new contract with the Frenchman. Konate, too, is said to want to stay - but finding common ground over a salary appears to be difficult.

If Liverpool can’t find new terms, they’ll almost certainly try to sell while they can.

Caoimhin Kelleher

It was something of a surprise that Caoimhin Kelleher didn’t leave Liverpool last summer. The Irishman was pretty open about his desire to play regular first-team football, something he wasn’t going to get ahead of Alisson Becker.

Kelleher remained, though. But it’s very difficult to believe he stays longer than this season, especially with Giorgi Mamardashvili arriving from Valencia.

Diogo Jota

Now, we wouldn’t say that Diogo Jota’s exit is probable. It feels as though he’s the most likely to stay out of Liverpool’s non-Egyptian forwards.

But the chance is there for Jota to move on. He’s only played a third of Liverpool’s Premier League minutes this season and interest from Arsenal, as well as abroad, will tempt the Reds.

Kostas Tsimikas

Liverpool want to sign a new left-back ahead of next season, with Milos Kerkez the favourite to arrive. He’s far from the only option, though.

But whoever arrives, it casts massive doubt over Kostas Tsimikas’s future. Andy Robertson, with one year left on his deal, is very unlikely to depart. Tsimikas, though, will be shopped around if Liverpool get the left-back they want.

Certainly, there’s no real chance of him getting football next season with the current plan as it is.

Joe Gomez

Joe Gomez nearly left Liverpool last summer and a deal with Newcastle United was in the works. Things changed, however, and he remained.

But it’s been another injury-hit season in which the 28-year-old hasn’t really played much. It’s difficult to believe that’s going to change next season, either.

And so Liverpool will naturally entertain offers once again. There aren’t any particularly strong links to clubs but one that could move quickly.

Federico Chiesa

The Italian was Liverpool’s only first-team addition ahead of this title-winning campaign. Federico Chiesa, though, has barely played.

‘One Premier League start’ actually undersells Chiesa’s lack of minutes. He’s played just 108 minutes across the entire season, suggesting Arne Slot isn’t a big fan.

There’s certainly interest from Italy in Chiesa but we’ll all have to see what that goes. As things stand, though, is feels highly unlikely he remains at the club.

Jarell Quansah

Newcastle United wanted to sign Jarell Quansah last summer but Liverpool said no. We find it hard to believe that the Reds would reject another offer this time around.

Quansah has had a very, very difficult season. It started with being subbed off at half-time and he’s played incredibly infrequently over the course of the campaign.

He’s expected to leave this summer as the Reds move on.

Harvey Elliott

Harvey Elliott has long looked like one of the biggest talents at Liverpool. Only two starts this season, however, puts his future in doubt.

Elliott, after all, is not going to reach his massive potential if he’s not playing and Arne Slot appears to have other plans. Liverpool don’t want to sell the player but won’t stand in his way if he wants to leave.

One to watch this summer as it could really go either way.

Luis Diaz

Here’s a big one. Contract talks with Luis Diaz have stalled and it means this is the last summer where Liverpool could get ‘full’ value for the Colombian.

Interest from Barcelona - public interest at that - creates an immediate market for him if Liverpool decide to sell. And they very well might.

But there’s also interest from Saudi Arabia and a gigantic fee would seriously tempt the Reds. Liverpool will have a decision to make here and it’s one that could seriously transform their summer.
