Liverpool now set to contact club to sign England star
Liverpool have spent the last few weeks discussing their options before committing to any further transfer moves, but now that targets have been identified, we could see a busy end to the window.
The remainder of July and the entirety of August is available for them to complete their business.

Fans are expecting at least two more deals; one for a striker and another for a centre-back.
The striker is likely to be Hugo Ekitike, whom Liverpool have turned their attention to over the last week, and there is a a reasonable amount of confidence that he will join, with personal terms agreed.
However, movement on a new centre-back position has been particularly quiet, despite it being the position that is likely to make or break the Reds' season, since Jarrel Quansah has joined Leverkusen.
Club-to-club talks set to begin
But we might now be on the brink of Liverpool signing a replacement, and it would be a serious move.
Marc Guehi at Crystal Palace has been on the rumour mill for weeks, but nothing has come from it.

Speaking to The Redmen TV, the BBC's Sami Mokbel outlined the latest situation.
He said: "That interest is ongoing. My understanding at the moment is that there isn't anything club-to-club yet. I expect that to happen in some form or another in the not-too-distant future. It's down to the clubs reaching an agreement. I don't know if it'll be necessarily that easy, knowing how Palace operate.
"I don't think Liverpool can come in with a really low offer and be able to persuade Palace. I think what would be wise from all parties in this situation would be to start the formal part of the deal, go through the front door, speak about a possible fee rather than just slapping a bid on the table, see if they can reach a middle ground."
The current rumoured fee of around ยฃ50m is proving to be a stumbling block, since the England International has just 12 months left on his current deal. Understandably, Liverpool are being cautious.
Next summer, he would be available for free, so the circumstances need to be weighed up.
If he was contracted for a longer period, then his value would undoubtedly be around that figure that Palace want, but the Reds won't pay that, despite the team desperately needing to buy a defender.
There are a lot of pros when it comes to Guehi - not least the fact that he's only 25 years old, he's homegrown, he has leadership experience as the Eagles' captain and he's a phenomenal talent.

Liverpool fans will be hoping this deal comes to fruition and that looks likely to be the case. Even though club-to-club talks haven't happened yet, an approach is expected in 'some form or another'.
