Experiences are the greatest tokens we have as humans.

For Liverpool supporters, Alisson brought so many of these profound moments. From incredible saves to standing up in the face of tragedy.

That goal against West Brom. Where he leaped from the sky and thundered the ball into the back of the net with his forehead merely days after losing his father will live long in the memory.

It was during the darkest period of the Covid-19 Pandemic and it brought fans a split-second relief from the doom and gloom.

Alisson's time is coming to an end at Liverpool

We've seen a lot of legends leave Anfield over the last few years, and Alisson is likely going to be the next one who follows suit.

The Brazilian could have left Liverpool last summer, but in the end, the club decided to keep him.

He now has less than a year left on his contract with Liverpool, which expires at the end of the season. It's hard to see him being retained any further.

He's 34-years-old and he is no longer the incredible goalkeeper that he once was.

Liverpool have also very clearly paved the way for his departure. They signed Giorgi Mamardashvili two years ago, brought in Armin Pecsi a year ago and also broke the world record for an U23 goalkeeper when they agreed to sign Lucca Brughmann last summer.

Liverpool's surprise choice to replace Alisson

The club does have a strong contingent of goalkeepers at their disposal. However, Liverpool may also look to recruit another goalkeeper to replace Alisson.

According to Ekrem Konur, Konstantinos Tzolakis has emerged on Liverpool's radar. The Greek goalkeeper is someone the Reds tracked while he was at Olympiakos and has settled in remarkably well in the Premier League.

Tzolakis' impressive saves for Hull City and his composure on the ball do make him an ideal candidate to replace Alisson.

At 23-years-old, he is a goalkeeper who is very much still learning his trade. Again, this aligns with Liverpool's policy of building for the future.

Right now, Liverpool are trying to sign the best young players on the planet. Tzolakis is emerging as one of the best young goalkeepers in the Premier League. So this is a move that would make a lot of sense.
