Another brilliant news about his injury was reported in L'Equipe. The French outlet claim that he successfully underwent surgery in London this week.

This surgery according to the French publication was overseen by the same team of surgeons who conducted the operation on Jayson Tatum for the same injury that he suffered last year.

Tatum is one of the stars of the NBA and he went down with an injury in the play-offs against the New York Knicks that curtailed his team's (the Boston Celtics) chances of lifting another Championship.

However, what is brilliant is that Tatum's surgery was so successful he was able to return to the court in a relatively short space of time and since coming back for the Celtics, he's been able to maintain the same high level of performances as before.

That is a really encouraging sign for Ekitike. Liverpool and he will be hoping to follow Tatum's path. If he does, the Reds should have him back playing like he did for most of this season in no time.
