Liverpool's multi-MILLION Stefan Bajcetic bonus
Stefan Bajcetic is a gem. Liverpool know this - and he’s going to save them millions and millions.
What a bizarre season Stefan Bajcetic has had. It started with hope that he’d be in Liverpool’s squad for Arne Slot’s debut campaign but eventually it was clear that he’d be heading out on loan.

Barcelona? They were interested but ultimately a deal didn’t happen. Instead, he was off to Red Bull Salzburg in a move that made absolutely, 100% sense.
Pep Lijnders, a massive fan of Bajcetic’s, was the new head coach there and Salzburg were going to compete in the UEFA Champions League (they’d just qualified through the play-off round). Where better for him to develop?
Anywhere, it seems. Everything became a disaster under Lijnders as the team fell to pieces, struggling badly in every competition. He was sacked late last year and that left Bajcetic with an unclear future.
To Las Palmas, then. Liverpool called off the loan with Salzburg and sent the young midfielder back to Spain.
And what a decision that was. Bajcetic has compeltely recaptured his best form, operating as one of the best young midfielders in La Liga.

Bajcetic’s form in Spain
Bajcetic is quite plainly a former centre-back who’s learned to play in midfield. There’s no doubt there.
His stats for blocks, interceptions, tackles and clearances are all fantastic when ranked alongside other midfielder, for one. Blocks, in particular, are a high point - Bajcetic sits in the highest percentile across Europe’s top five leagues.
But a young midfielder who wins three tackles per 90 on average as well as averaging at least one take-on? That’s someone you can use.
Being a consistently strong defensive midfielder is supposed to come in later years. It’s something you develop over time - the instinct, the feel for the game. Bajcetic is already showing incredible instincts, though, and that should (in theory) only keep improving.
So with Bajcetic playing so well, what’s the plan at Liverpool? They certainly have options.
Stefan Bajcetic’s future
Liverpool could sell Bajcetic. There will absolutely be interest in him and his form with Las Palmas has taken his valuation back to where it should be.
The club could also loan him out again. Bajcetic could really use regular football over the course of an entire season and it may help him move up yet another level.
Though, Liverpool have already seen how wrong that decision can go.
Or the Reds could hold onto the midfielder and use him for themselves. For us, he looks like an ideal Wataru Endo successor.
The beauty of all this, then, is that Liverpool can’t really go wrong. They could sell Bajcetic and make millions. They could use him themselves and get a player worth millions for their squad without paying a penny.
Or they could simply loan him out again and hold off on making a decision for another year.

Either way, the Reds have their player worth millions who can help retool the squad. Bajcetic looks like a special talent once again and the timing couldn’t be better as Liverpool head into a massive summer.
