Federico Chiesa's Liverpool future has been up in the air for some time now.

The Italy international was the Reds' only signing last season with most fans expecting him to take some pressure away from the shoulders of Mohamed Salah.

In the end, the Egyptian King ended up breaking all sorts of records with Chiesa being left on the bench almost every week.

This season, fans were expecting the attacker to be given more of a chance after Liverpool chose to keep him around but again, it feels like Arne Slot doesn't trust him at all.

And now, even though the Anfield outfit are already short on attackers as it is, rumours about a potential exit for the Italian are still rife.

Liverpool would only let Federico Chiesa exit Anfield for a big-money fee

Liverpool's attack has been one of the main reasons behind their misfortune this season.

Even though over £250 million was spent trying to improve it and replace players such as Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez, it feels like things could be a lot better.

When Chiesa has been given a chance he's often changed the game for Liverpool but since Slot has his favourites such as Cody Gakpo, the Italian has missed a lot of football.

And, due to his lack of involvement in the Reds' outings, reports have started to emerge about what it would take for him to exit Anfield.

As per a report from Sky Italy reporter Gianluca Di Marzio, it seems like Chiesa's exit is something that is being considered by Liverpool.

Juventus are the most interested party with the Serie A giants looking to agree upon a loan with an obligation to buy in the future.

However, the obligation would only become active if 'certain conditions' are met.

And, even though the Old Lady are interested in signing their former player, the report goes on to say that Slot and Richard Hughes won't 'change their conditions.'

The club would only consider a permanent exit for a 'well paid transfer' despite him not being used all that often.

Federico Chiesa still has a lot to offer Liverpool

There's no denying that Chiesa is an exceptional talent.

Not only has he shown this earlier on in his career but there have even been a few times when the attacker has proven his worth in a Liverpool shirt.

His song is one of the fans' favourites and, even though he hasn't played too many games for Liverpool during his time at Anfield, he's quickly become a cult hero.

Thursday's 0-0 draw against Arsenal may have ended positively for Liverpool but the fact that the Reds failed to get a single shot on target is worrying.

Chiesa could've turned Liverpool's fortunes around if he was played from the start and while players such as Alexander Isak, Hugo Ekitike and Mohamed Salah are all absent from the squad, there isn't a better time for Slot to give the Italian a run out.

A big-money fee would obviously be tempting but the fact that the Reds' attack has suffered so many injuries this season means that Liverpool would likely be better off keeping him than moving him on.
