Liverpool close in on Morgan Rogers agreement
Morgan Rogers is a player we all want to see at Liverpool and it seems like the Reds may actually have a golden chance to sign him.
The England international is the perfect fit for Arne Slot's style of play. Rogers covers a lot of ground, he can play as a no.10 and on the left-wing.

His intelligent forward runs coupled with his energy off the ball as well as his ability to make an impact in front of goal - make him exactly what Slot would want from his attacking player.
On top of that he's still very young at just 22-years-old and he's homegrown which means he fulfils an important requirement for Liverpool - especially because several homegrown players including the likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold are going to be leaving the club this summer.
But for a long while now, even though Anfield Watch understands Liverpool like Rogers, he has felt like a distant fantasy rather than a tangible possibility.
That could change now with the latest update coming from Aston Villa.

According to Aston Villa reporter Tom Collomosse for the Daily Mail, Aston Villa need to make at least one significant sale before June 30 to ensure they stay in line with Premier League spending rules.
This isn't just anyone reporting this, it's one of Villa's club reporters and that's a significant update. It's pretty much conceding that Villa are going to have to sell big this summer.
And who else could they sell other than Rogers?
There's Ollie Watkins as well of course but replacing a striker in this market is going to be a lot more difficult. Plus with so many forwards available at 29-years-old, Watkins may not attract as much interest considering there are better options on the market, which means Villa might not be able to generate as big of a sale as they would like.
On the other hand, Rogers pretty much guarantees a big sale.
His stock is really high at the moment and he's a rare commodity in the modern game being such a quality player and homegrown at the same time.
It's also rare that these kind of players become available so that's why Villa's financial concerns are a golden opportunity for Liverpool to capitalise.
As we believe Liverpool like Rogers and they are going to understand that there isn't going to be a better time than this summer to bring him to the club.
Sure, Liverpool will have to pay big money to get him. But this is a special talent - and sometimes you do have to pay premium.

Virgil van Dijk is an example of that. For Rogers, Liverpool may have to spend even more than £75m in order to get him but even at that high figure, he's worth every penny.
And with Villa now needing to sell the Reds are closing in on what would be an exciting agreement.
