Here we go, Liverpool about to sign Andoni Iraola's 'new' Eli Junior Kroupi

Andoni Iraola will soon have his next Eli Junior Kroupi at Anfield.

The Spanish coach is very much settling into life at Liverpool. Iraola's philosophy is still taking time to be instilled in his new team. He's also getting to know his players and the culture around the club.

It's good to see how positive Iraola has been. He's open to working with younger players, has already done a tremendous job promoting Lewis Koumas and Trey Nyoni and he wants to play progressive attacking football.

The intensity has been back. Liverpool are pressing with greater force and covering more distances than they were under Arne Slot.

Most importantly, Iraola is embedding himself into the culture of the club. This weekend, he's set to attend Liverpool's Women game against Everton.

So, he's getting involved at all levels of the club, which is a very exciting change compared to Slot, who would use these international breaks to go on holiday to Ibiza.

Naturally, Iraola is definitely a lot more in tune with the philosophy of Liverpool and what it means to represent this great institution.

However, if Liverpool are to be successful, he still needs a few missing pieces from his arsenal.

At Bournemouth, Iraola used a different type of no.10 to Florian Wirtz. He often played Eli Junior Kroupi in the role, who is more of a false nine or forward, capable of scoring goals.

At Liverpool, Iraola doesn't really have this Kroupi profile, but he may soon.

Paris Brunner is about to become Iraola's Kroupi

Anfield Watch understands Liverpool's scouts are huge admirers of the German U21 international who has scored six goals for AS Monaco already this season.

Brunner is someone who Liverpool's scouts have watched in person several times already this season. Now this only happens when the club is seriously interested in a player.

Naturally, Liverpool will be keeping a close eye on his teammate Lamine Camara as well. But Brunner is held in high regard and he is a serious target in order to provide competition for the no.10 role.

That means Liverpool are very much considering signing him and in the process, they could be about to bring in Iraola's very own Kroupi.

Brunner is a similar profile to the Frenchman. He positions himself in similar positions and he is the type of supporting striker/no.10 who prefers to score goals and arrive in the box, as well as link-up with his teammates.

He seems perfectly suited to Iraola's system, and it's why a move to Anfield makes so much sense.
