FOUR of Jurgen Klopp's heroic title-winners in line to leave Liverpool
Liverpool's 2020 title-winners are disappearing. Four more are in line to leave the Reds this year.
It's six years (nearly) since Jurgen Klopp ended Liverpool's title curse and lifted the Premier League title. It was a historic season in which the Reds absolutely dominated.
They'd essentially wrapped things up by the time the New Year rolled around, dropping only two points over the first half of the campaign. It was an all-time run from one of the greatest teams English football has ever seen.
But that was now quite a while ago. That group of players has been broken up for some time now and only a few more remain on the books.
And even they won't be sticking around for long. In fact, nearly all of them could leave this year - they're certainly in line to.
Jurgen Klopp's heroes set to leave
Of that outstanding title-winning group, around five remain. Mo Salah is arguably the headliner - but his future is firmly up in the air right now.
His form this season has been troubling and the Mirror now reports that he's to receive a monster £1.2m-per-week offer from the Saudi Pro League to essentially be the face of that league. That's an offer that will tempt everyone involved.
Andy Robertson is another who may not stick around. In fact, it feels as though he's very unlikely to be a part of Liverpool's squad next season.
The Scot's contract expires this summer and he very nearly joined Tottenham Hotspur in January. All that stopped that deal from happening was the lack of a replacement.
Joe Gomez was a starter for Liverpool in that title-winning season. It's really the only time he has been, thanks to his awful injury history.
He's currently the Reds' longest-serving player, though could have left last summer if Marc Guehi had arrived. Liverpool will reassess their centre-back options in the summer and it could see Gomez make way.
Finally, Alisson Becker is on an expiring contract - though, that could soon change. He's set to leave at the end of the season as things stand but Liverpool do have an option in the deal to extend it for one more year.
It's fully expected that the club will do that but they're yet to publicly announce it.
All four could leave, then. And should they, Virgil van Dijk would be the only remaining regular starter from Klopp's title-winners.
It doesn't get any easier...

FSG have blown our season apart by not signing players we needed You only had to look at the subs bench who was on ours Cutis Jones and the rest were young lads look at City's bench and then answer the question as to why we are loosing games
They might as well as everything else that Jurgen built has left the building. Let's hope Slot joins them.
