Liverpool will be pursuing a no.9 this summer and here are the players on the club's radar.

Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota could both leave, with the former almost certain to be out of the door come the end of the season.

But Anfield Watch were the first to exclusively reveal that Jota is also up for sale this summer and Liverpool are ready to listen to offers for the Portuguese forward.

What this means is that it's guaranteed Liverpool will have a new no.9 next season. But who that new no.9 could be remains a mystery.

The fact is that there are going to be a lot of forwards on the market this summer, which means Richard Hughes and his recruitment team will have plenty of stars to choose from.

Here are the ten players currently on Liverpool's radar.

READ MORE: Liverpool have already signed next Mo Salah for NOTHING

Alexander Isak

This is the most obvious name. He keeps coming up in the conversations and it's easy to see why. Behind Mohamed Salah, Isak has scored the most goals in the Premier League.

He's mobile, athletic and is able to link-up with his teammates to not only score but create chances for others. Among forwards, Isak has been the best finisher in the Premier League this season with a 26% goal conversion rate.

At 25-years-old, he's in the prime of his career and he is believed to be assessing his options as he enters the last three years of his current deal at Newcastle.

The only obstacle for Liverpool is the mooted £150m asking price, which seems pretty much impossible to pay for the Reds, even after a successful campaign.

There is the possibility of involving multiple players in the deal such as Jarell Quansah, Caoimhin Kelleher or Joe Gomez, in order to cut down the transfer fee.

However, at this stage Isak seems an unlikely option.

Hugo Ekitike

If not Isak, the best alternative to the Swedish star is Hugo Ekitike. He's three years younger and has the potential to become an even better player than Isak.

This season, Ekitike has really flourished at Eintracht Frankfurt. He's fantastic in one vs one situations, has the work-rate and energy needed for a modern forward off the ball and he makes intelligent runs into the box to always find himself in goal-scoring situations.

Ekitike's sublime technical qualities combined with his speed make him a real nuisance to handle for defenders. He's a unique profile and someone who could flourish at Liverpool.

He's got 32 goal contributions in 45 games so far this season and Anfield Watch exclusively revealed Liverpool have held preliminary talks with his representatives, which were of a positive nature.

Frankfurt will not want their best player to leave on the cheap so much will depend on the asking price but the Frenchman is definitely one to keep a close eye on this summer.

Victor Osimhen

Due to a falling out at Napoli, the Nigerian has had to spend this season on loan at Galatasaray. But make no mistake, Osimhen is still one of the best forwards in Europe's top five leagues.

Anfield Watch revealed exclusively that Liverpool explored a move for him in January. Napoli are willing to let him go for £60m this summer, which makes him an absolute bargain.

Osimhen has not taken his foot off the gas at Galatasaray this season making 39 goal contributions in 36 games for the club, while averaging a goal every 89 minutes in all competitions.

He's 26-years-old and has plenty of years left at the very top of his game. The Premier League has always been his dream and Liverpool have tried to sign him before while he was at Lille as well.

Wage demands could be an obstacle. His mooted desire is to earn £300k per week. Realistically speaking few English clubs will be willing to pay that so if Osimhen wants to fulfil his dreams, he will need to cut down on those demands.

If he does, Liverpool will be queuing up for him.

Viktor Gyokeres

It's not fair to not include another Swedish forward on this list. Gyokeres broke tons of records at Sporting CP last season and he's on course for an even better season this time around.

He's made 64 goal contributions already in just 48 matches, and averages a goal every 74 minutes in all competitions.

A tall and athletic forward, Gyokeres bullies his opposition in Portugal. He'll be 27-years-old this summer and this is likely his last chance to make a big move.

It's a move he's ready for. A return to England almost looks certain, having impressed in the Championship for Coventry in the past.

Liverpool will certainly take a look at him but right now it seems to be Arsenal who are leading the race to sign the explosive forward.

Jonathan David

Liverpool tried to sign him while he was catching the eye in Belgium for Gent. The Reds' scouts saw him as an alternate option to Timo Werner but in the end opted to sign Diogo Jota instead.

David is now 25-years-old, and he's been very prolific over the last five years in Ligue 1. This season he has 36 goal contributions in 46 matches.

In total, he has 138 goal contributions in 219 matches for Lille. Still in the prime of his career, David is available as a free agent this summer which makes him a very affordable target for Liverpool.

He suits Arne Slot's profile as well. David is very good at link-up play, he can drop deeper and he works a lot when it comes to the defensive side of his game out of possession.

On top of that he's a brilliant finisher, with the intelligence to consistently put himself in goal-scoring opportunities.

Barcelona are believed to also be interested in the Canadian international and he previously described that as his dream move.

But the Spanish giants are struggling with their finances so don't rule this one out just yet. Liverpool's longstanding interest could mean they will make a move for David.

Julian Alvarez

Anfield Watch exclusively revealed that the Reds would be willing to pay a club record fee to sign Alvarez this summer, having tried to sign him last summer as well.

Back then he moved from Manchester City to Atletico Madrid. Alvarez has continued to shine there with 32 goal contributions so far this season.

The Argentine is a brilliant finisher. Out of players who average 2.5 shots per 90 minutes, only Robert Lewandowski has a better goal conversion rate (25.51%) than Alvarez (23.1%).

He also works tirelessly off the ball and can involve himself in the build-up, too.

At 25-years-old, he's the perfect option for Liverpool. The only question mark is whether he's going to be available. That remains to be seen but there is a little bit of hope that a return to the Premier League to play alongside one of his closest friends in Alexis Mac Allister would appeal to Alvarez.

Liam Delap

With a £30m relegation release clause now active in his contract, Delap is going to be the bargain of the summer. He's made 14 goal contributions for a really poor Ipswich side in the Premier League this season, and he's bullied some of the best defenders in the league.

Delap is strong and physical, but he's also an effective dribbler and he can drop back and operate on the wide areas as well. He really loves to cut inside from the left side in particular.

There are shades of Harry Kane about him in his style of play and while he's still very raw at £30m there is no risk signing one of the most talented young English centre-forwards in the game at the moment.

To illustrate just how effective he is as a finisher, there are only three forwards who also average more than two shots per 90 with a better goal conversion rate than Delap (19.35%) this season: Erling Haaland, Alexander Isak and Yoane Wissa.

His goal-scoring numbers would inevitably improve in a better side, and having only turned 22-years-old earlier this year, he's got plenty of time to develop and become an even better player before he reaches his prime.

The problem for Liverpool is that pretty much everybody wants to sign him. Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal are all interested.

Mateo Retegui

The current top-scorer in the Serie A. Retegui is understood to be on Richard Hughes' radar this summer with the Liverpool sporting director having strong connections in Italy.

Retegui is pretty much the complete forward as well. He's strong in the air, he's good at finding space inside the box and he's an awesome finisher with a goal conversion rate of 30% in Serie A this season from 3.35 shots per 90. In total he has 33 goal contributions in 45 games.

He's literally just turned 26-years-old, so he's around the perfect age for FSG's recruitment. The long-term contract until 2028 at Atalanta is going to mean he won't go for cheap.

However, Retegui might still be a cheaper alternative to some of the other options on the list and with Hughes' strong connections in Italy, he will absolutely have gotten the full lowdown on him, which should be enough information for the Reds to decide whether to take a punt or not.

Serhou Guirassy

There's a release clause in his contract that's only available for Liverpool and some other clubs this summer. Former cult hero at Anfield Titi Camara recently suggested he would be the perfect option for Liverpool.

It's easy to see why, he's got 39 goal contributions this season in just 42 games for Borussia Dortmund.

Guirassy is a typical no.9 as well. He's strong in the air having scored the most headed goals in the Bundesliga this season (6) and he's got a better goal conversion rate (24%) than Harry Kane (23%).

At 29-years-old, Guirassy definitely doesn't fit the FSG profile. However, he's a ready-made player currently playing in the prime of his career.

He's a late bloomer too, which could mean he could maintain this level for the next four to five years. Especially because up until he was 24-years-old, he had only played 107 league games.

Guirassy has only played European football during three seasons of his career, so he's not been overloaded with minutes.

It's an unlikely move but still worth keeping an eye on. In terms of what Liverpool want from an attacker, Guirassy ticks all the boxes.

Benjamin Sesko

Anfield Watch understands Liverpool like Sesko, with the club's scouts having kept a close eye on his progress throughout the his spell at Red Bull Salzburg and now RB Leipzig as well.

A tall forward, who could have chosen to take up basketball at a younger age, Sesko is extremely fast and he's able to generate a lot of speed behind his shots as well.

He's got 26 goal contributions in 42 games for RB Leipzig this season and he's still very young at 21-years-old.

He's more of a project signing for Liverpool, but he does have some impressive numbers. His 19.67% goal conversion rate ranks him among the top five forwards in the Bundesliga who average at least 2.31 shots per 90 minutes.

Sesko has the makings and the tools of a top forward. He's not quite at the same level as perhaps the other options but he has time on his side and he could develop into a formidable player.

Liverpool like to shop at Red Bull and with Jurgen Klopp there as well, perhaps there is a favourable deal to be done. That's why the Slovenian is a name to keep an eye on.
