Liverpool are interested in Torino centre-back Gleison Bremer, according to TMW.

The report states that Juventus, Inter Milan and Napoli are also keeping an eye on the 24-year-old.

Bremer is reportedly valued at €25 million. However, apparently Torino would like to extend the Brazilian’s contract.

Bremer’s current deal expires in June 2023.

ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT

Bremer appears to be a fine player. The centre-back averaged a WhoScored player rating of 6.86 across the 2020-21 Serie A season.

Bremer also chipped in with five goals during the aforementioned campaign. However, we do find it hard to believe that Liverpool are considering signing a new centre-back.

The reality is, Reds boss Jurgen Klopp has plenty of central defenders at his disposal (Virgil van Dijk, Joel Matip, Joe Gomez, Ibrahima Konate and Nat Phillips).

Therefore, we do believe that it is highly unlikely that Liverpool will sign a new centre-back in the near future.

But, only time will tell if the Reds are genuinely interested in Bremer.
