Potential Alexander-Arnold SUCCESSOR speaks out on Liverpool links
Liverpool are now planning for the future without first-choice right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold. Fans have been left frustrated by Trent’s announcement that he is going to leave the club upon the expiry of his contract in summer 2025.
The 26-year-old has been at the club for 20 years but is now widely expected to join European rivals Real Madrid at the end of the season.

The Northern Ireland international, 21, has suffered several injuries this season and club bosses are believed to be ready to consider a senior alternative in the transfer window.
One name in the frame is going to be very familiar to Arne Slot - because the current Liverpool head coach gave him his debut in February 2024.
Givairo Read, 18, made his Feyenoord bow in a Europa League playoff tie against Roma back then with Slot moving on to Liverpool at the end of that season.
Givairo Read on Liverpool radar
Read began this season as Feyenoord’s fourth-choice right-back but owing to injuries and a transfer for Lutsharel Geertruida he has had to step up to the plate under Robin van Persie.
The young Dutchman has done so with aplomb, providing seven assists and a goal in 23 Eredivisie appearances. Read has also played in the Champions League, demonstrating his capabilities of playing at the highest level.
Feyenoord saw fit to trigger a one-year option in Read’s contract - extending his current terms to 2029.
Despite the renewal, it’s expected that the electric youngster will be on the move sooner rather than later - with Liverpool said to be in the mix for his signature.
'It's nice to hear' - Read on Liverpool interest
Following the weekend win over Heracles - with Read grabbing an assist in a 4-1 win - the question was put to Read about Liverpool’s potential interest.
“That's a good sign," he told ESPN.
"That means I'm doing well, that I have to continue like this. It's nice, but I'm just focusing on the Eredivisie now. It's nice to hear."

The loss of Trent will leave a glaring hole in Liverpool’s team. But with the defender reportedly informing Richard Hughes and Arne Slot of his intentions back in March, club decision-makers will be well into their post-Trent planning.
