An exciting winger is being lined up to join the first-team very soon at Liverpool.

At the very core of the club's ethos is player development. Liverpool is the club that produced Ian Rush, Robbie Fowler, Steven Gerrard, Michael Owen, Raheem Sterling and Trent Alexander-Arnold.

It's a club where bringing through young talent is the utmost of importance.

Jurgen Klopp understood the essence of this. He was a very keen promoter of young talent and Liverpool reaped the rewards of his work.

The players Klopp promoted either turned out to be key first-team stars or the Reds were able to sell them on for profit and those players have gone onto have successful careers elsewhere.

Jarell Quansah, Neco Williams and Harry Wilson are great examples of this.

Under Arne Slot, things have been a little bit more difficult when it comes to the promotion of young talent. Slot prefers to keep his core group tight and he rotates less in games than Klopp.

As a result, chances for young players have been limited.

But it's not impossible. A pathway still remains for the very best young young. Right now this includes Rio Ngumoha and Trey Nyoni but soon they'll be joined by another special winger.

Joe Bradshaw is a name you haven't heard of yet but you soon will. He's one of the best young talents in the club's academy and has 29 goal contributions in 40 games for Liverpool's U18 side.

Only 17-years-old, Bradshaw scored his first goal for the team at 15-years-old and has been a regular with the U18s ever since.

Quick but also extremely elegant in his ability to carry the ball. Bradshaw is excellent in one vs one situations. He has completed 77% of his 2.5 dribble attempts so far this season.

He's also got a tremendous shooting technique and is able to unleash fiery shots with both feet making him a very versatile option across both flanks.

Bradshaw demonstrated this against Stoke City, scoring a brace for the U18s during their 4-2 comeback win.

He's also been making a breakthrough at U21 level and has started to feature regularly for Rob Page's side.

With possible loan moves for the likes of Trent Kone-Doherty and Kieran Morrison this month, a permanent promotion is likely for Bradshaw and if he continues in the same vein of form that he has been performing at U18 level, then he has a very good chance of earning a spot among Slot's elite academy kids.

Especially considering Bradshaw is predominantly a right-winger. We all know that Mohamed Salah's time at the club could be coming to an end in the summer.

This will present the opportunity for Bradshaw to stake a claim for that spot himself. Especially in pre-season, when a lot of the club's key stars will be away at the World Cup, meaning there will be extra spots up for grabs in some of the pre-season games for the club's academy youngsters.

It's only a matter of time now though until Bradshaw is in the first team. He's coming. With every performance like the one against Stoke he just gets closer and closer to showcasing his special talent to the rest of the club's fanbase.
