Mo Salah REGEN is now coming to join Liverpool's first-team
Liverpool's next Mohamed Salah is coming to join the first-team very soon.
If we truly look at what made the Egyptian one of the best players in the world it was two aspects in particular. Salah was blessed with an insatiate appetite to improve and get better but he also harnessed incredible speed and physical qualities combined with a wand of a left-foot.
When he cuts in and has a shot on goal, Salah is capable of scoring some absolute worldies.
In his prime, he also left defenders chasing in his wake. When he was running full speed with Sadio Mane alongside him, Liverpool were extremely entertaining.
In fact, that was probably that peak of football under Jurgen Klopp. Mane, Salah and Firmino. And the best among them was undoubtedly Salah.
He will go down as a club legend at Anfield but time is running out for him at the club.
Salah almost left this month after his outburst and clash with Arne Slot. But ultimately, he decided to stay, and Liverpool agreed to keep him.
Ultimately, though with 18 months left on his contract at the moment, it's looking very likely that the Reds will part ways with a player who will forever be recognised as one of the best ever to play for the club.
Salah will be moving onto pastures new, and Liverpool will be left with the dilemma of having to replace him. How do you even replace someone of his ability?
There aren't many obvious options in the market. The ones that could qualify as excellent replacements for Salah - like Michael Olise are probably either not going to be for sale or they will be up for sale but only for ludicrous sums. The kind of sums beyond Liverpool's means considering they also have to reinforce their squad in other areas.
But fear not. Liverpool already have an ideal successor to Salah's throne and he is already heading towards Arne Slot's side and could be with the first-team very soon, potentially as early as the summer.
There's something special about Joshua Abe, Liverpool's 15-year-old sensation. He's been at the club since pre-academy days and he has always been highly regarded.
Abe is a left-footed right-winger, very much in the Salah profile. He's extremely quick and also already very strong for his age. The most impressive is that he has an incredible left-foot.
The youngster has three goals and three assists in just seven matches for Liverpool's U18 sides. To be doing what he is doing at the age he is doing it, is incredible.
Liverpool haven't really had a player like him, ever. Even Rio Ngumoha or Raheem Sterling were not performing to Abe's levels at the same age.
Then you look at his performances for England, where Abe has three goals and one assist in just five games and you start to realise how special he is.
With every performance he inches closer and closer to the first-team. Abe already made his U21 debut in a friendly for Liverpool this season.
If he continues his production, he'll be a candidate for the club's pre-season tour in the summer. He'll only turn 16-years-old then. But he'll deserve a chance and perhaps in the process Liverpool could uncover their very own Lamine Yamal, capable of replacing Salah and becoming his heir.
It's something to keep an eye on. Abe is that special of a talent. The best attacker in the academy for a long, long time.
