According to The Athletic's David Ornstein, there is a release clause in the contract of Arnaut Danjuma that stands at €75m, which can be activated any time by Liverpool or any other potentially interested party.

The Reds have been linked with the winger a fair bit in the last few months with him impressing over in La Liga after leaving AFC Bournemouth in the summer of last year.

Indeed, he is familiar with English football having played in the Premier League and Ornstein says that any side can buy him for a certain fee, though it is a pretty steep figure.

Writing for The Athletic, the reporter reveals:

"There has been talk about Arnaut Danjuma, and it is believed the 24-year-old is being monitored by Liverpool [and other top European sides]. His deal at Villarreal contains a €75m release clause, which can be activated at any time."

Anfield Watch Verdict

Danjuma is a very good attacking player and is one that you could see being a hit at Liverpool if he did end up on Merseyside.

He's certainly a winger that fits the profile of what we look for.

He works hard, is incisive and direct with his attacking runs and has an eye for goal, whilst he is also at an age where he is not yet in his best years and should therefore only get even better.

That said, Villarreal are clearly aware of these points and have stuck a sizeable fee on his head but, of course, there can still be room for negotiation and it remains to be seen if Liverpool go down that path.
