Peter Crouch may not have had the best Liverpool career ever but his time with the club is remembered fondly.

The striker has often lauded the Anfield outfit for the way that they play and for the business that they conduct.

The Anfield outfit rarely ever splash the cash with the 2025-26 summer transfer window an exception.

Most thought that the Reds would be untouchable this term but now we're nearly halfway through the season, things aren't looking all that good for Arne Slot's men with their next game against Leeds no walk in the park.

Peter Crouch makes Liverpool vs Leeds United prediction

Luckily for Liverpool, their last Premier League game against Sunderland didn't end in defeat.

They may have only drawn 1-1 with the Black Cats but the fact they took any points from the game feels like a cause for celebration.

The Anfield outfit have been in some of their worst form ever and while speaking on The Peter Crouch Podcast, Crouch shared his thoughts on how the game is likely to pan out.

“I think certainly at home. Leeds at home versus Liverpool. There’s some atmosphere there. I think this will be a tough game," he said.

“I hate doing this, but I’m gonna go for Leeds 2-1.

“I don’t think they’re out of it yet. I don’t want this to happen, but you know, I’ll be happy in both ways because, you know, I want Liverpool to win this game.

“I just think it’d be a difficult place to go. And I don’t think they’re quite out of the woods yet. I think West Ham are a poor side at the moment.”

Liverpool need to try something new against Leeds United if they want to win

If you asked any Liverpool fan at the start of the season what they thought the scores of their games against Leeds United and Sunderland would end up as, most would've backed the Reds to win.

In fact, there were even some fans saying that Slot's men would go unbeaten across the entire campaign with some believing it after their first five top flight-games.

Since then, things just haven't gone to plan and unless Slot tries something new, it's hard to see the Anfield outfit getting a result from Saturday's game.

Daniel Farke's men are coming off the back of one of their best performances of the campaign as they managed to beat Chelsea 3-1.

Sure, some of their goals were scrappy but the fact that they beat one of the big six means that they'll have motivation to do the same to Liverpool.

There's no knowing what the future has in store for Slot and his men but if they end up exiting Elland Road without all three points to their name, some serious questions will need to be asked.
