Meet Liverpool's SPECIAL Spanish wonderkid who has also been called-up by England
There was a time when Spanish culture dominated at Liverpool.
Rafa Benitez's era saw a myriad of Spaniards arrive at Anfield all with varying degrees of success.
There were some who were adored by the Kop. From Xabi Alonso to Fernando Torres as well as Pepe Reina and Alvaro Arbeloa.
Other names were less successful. But Benitez's influence didn't just stretch into player arrivals at first-team level.
Benitez also appointed Rodolfo Borrell as the club's academy manager and the Spaniard, previously at Barcelona, played a key role in recruiting young Spanish players to the club.
This saw the likes of Suso, Dani Pacheco, Sergi Canos or Pedro Chirivella join Liverpool, and become highly anticipated prospects at the club's academy.
Over the years this Spanish influence has waned at Anfield. Right now the most recognisable Spaniard at the club is Stefan Bajcetic. Although he's hardly playing right now due to an injury that he's recovering from.
Yet interestingly, Bajcetic is actually not alone. There's not one but two players at the club who have also represented and have been called up by Spanish international teams recently.
One of those is Wellity Lucky who recently made his first-team debut and did very well completing 21/21 passes on his first appearance for the club as a substitute.
Then there's also Edeson Ogunlana Aresin, who is a very special talent at the club's academy.
The 14-year-old is a versatile player, capable of playing as a full-back and as a midfielder and he has recently earned a call-up to Spain's U15 national team.
Impressively, Ogunlana was the only player based outside of Spain to earn a call-up to the national team as they went on an international tournament in October.
During that tournament, Ogunlana made his debut for Spain and caught the eye starting a game against the Republic of Ireland.
The youngster is believed to be one of the brightest prospects in his age group and he also received a call-up to the England national team, where he spent a training camp with the U15s.
So his future at international level is very much up in the air, but that speaks volumes of his special talent. There are very few players in world football who both the English and the Spanish FA fight over.
So, he's a name to keep an eye on.
