Luis Diaz's sale is something that's still heavily debated among Liverpool's fanbase.

Many question why the Reds' best winger after Mohamed Salah was moved on even though he still had two years left on his deal.

Some believe that the £65 million+ fee that the Reds received for the Colombian was too good to turn down, even though his output was solid.

Many thought that his sale would mean that Liverpool were going to sign a new left winger with players such as Malick Fofana being thrown around as potential targets.

However, when that deal never came to fruition, attention was turned to the January window with Diaz potentially having a say in who the Reds' new left winger could be.

Luis Diaz's form could mean that Bayern Munich don't go for Yan Diomande

The fact that Diaz has been tearing it up for Bayern has meant that the Bundesliga outfit are in top form.

Questions about their potential transfer targets have emerged and as per a fresh report from Christian Falk, it seems like Vincent Kompany's men may not make a move for the Ivorian.

Yan Diomande has long been linked with a Liverpool move with some inside the Red Bull football network even dubbing him one of the most 'gifted' players to come through their ranks.

And, as much as Bayern would want to sign him, since Diaz is their starting left-winger, there wouldn't be much point in them spending over £85 million to bring him in as a back-up.

This means that, despite the fact that Bayern want to sign most of the best Bundesliga talent, Liverpool could have a free run at him, thanks to Diaz.

Yan Diomande would be a perfect signing for Liverpool

Although Diomande's natural position is on the left wing, he's played all across the front three throughout his career.

Salah will be entering the final year of his contract next term and, with the uncertainty surrounding Federico Chiesa's future, it's likely that Liverpool will be entering a rebuilding phase for their attack once again.

Of course, the rumoured fee of £86.7 million is a lot to spend on a 19-year-old who's never played in the Premier League, but, since he's already contributed to 11 goals across all competitions for RB Leipzig this season, it's clear that he's an exceptional talent.

One of the Reds' main recruitment strategies over the last year or so has been to sign players who have plenty of potential to fulfil.

Hugo Ekitike is a prime example of this with Milos Kerkez and Jeremie Frimpong not too far behind him.

Here's hoping that, if Diaz does keep up his current run of form, Diomande is able to make his dream move and improve Liverpool's attack next term.
