Liverpool are blessed with a wealth of talent in their attack, and their forward line could soon get even stronger.

With Alexander Isak, Florian Wirtz and Hugo Ekitike, the Reds look set for at least the next five years up top.

Mohamed Salah will need replacing at some point over the next few years, but Liverpool seem to have a knack for identifying extraordinary attackers.

One of the club’s brightest forwards over the last few years was Luis Diaz, but when the Colombian left the club last summer he wasn’t replaced.

It may come 12 months after he left the club, but it looks like Liverpool have finally found their Diaz replacement.

Luis Diaz’s replacement is coming to Liverpool this summer

Diaz left the club for £65 million in the summer, and many supporters will have thought it would take a similar amount to replace the energetic winger, but his replacement won’t even cost Liverpool a penny in transfer fees.

When Lewis Koumas first came into the first-team set up at Liverpool in Jurgen Klopp’s final season, he truly looked like one of the most promising academy prospects the club had seen in years.

The Welsh international scored on his only senior appearance for the Reds and enjoyed a successful loan spell at Stoke City last season.

Koumas has spent most of this campaign on loan at Birmingham City, but his loan deal was cut short in January and the 20-year-old was loaned to Championship side Hull City.

On Saturday, the Welshman made his debut for the Tigers, and he scored with only his second touch of the game.

Several players have become regulars in Liverpool’s first-team straight off the back of Championship loans, most notably Harvey Elliott.

Liverpool will be hoping that Koumas continues to shine, as he did on his debut, and they could have a readymade Diaz replacement returning to club in the summer.

If Koumas follows in the footsteps of Elliott, he will be a Liverpool regular in no time.
