Liverpool trio could be on the move this summer
Liverpool's business in the transfer window is far from over.
As we approach August, the Reds still have to settle the fate of a lot of their current players. Meanwhile, there may be more new arrivals around the corner.

There's been reports that Liverpool are closing in on the signing of Hugo Ekitike, which will take the number of non-homegrown players in Arne Slot's roster to 19 - the Premier League only allows 17 non-homegrown players to be registered so it's fair to assume players are going to leave.
But it's not just the non-homegrown players who face an uncertain future, some of the club's homegrown stars might be on the move, too.
At the end of June, Liverpool announced their retained list from the academy. In that announcement they named several players who had been offered contracts to stay at the club but they had not mentioned whether those contracts were accepted.

Now three weeks later, Liverpool's pre-season preparation are underway at all levels. The club's first team has played against Preston North End, meanwhile the U21s recently featured in a friendly against Celtic's U21 side.
In an 8-0 rout, there were plenty of players who caught the eye against Celtic, with Kaide Gordon and Owen Beck both scoring twice, the former also registered an assist and won a penalty.
Wellity Lucky is another name worth mentioning as he was one of the players who had been offered a contract and who did feature in this game, twice being involved in Liverpool goals from centre-back.
Three players on that retained however were absent and now face uncertain futures at the club.
The names who were not involved are Kyle Kelly, Ranel Young, Emmanuel Airoboma.
Now out of those players, Airoboma is the youngest at just 18-years-old. The centre-back may not have featured simply because there are others ahead of him in the pecking order.
Kelly and Young though are more senior options. Both are 19-years-old and will be turning 20-years-old later this year. Young has even featured on the bench for the first team in the past, so the fact that he wasn't involved in the game raises questions.
The same can be of Kelly, who is actually an international footballer. The midfielder has made six international appearances for St Kitts and Nevis.
Considering their ages and the fact that none of them were involved it's fair to assume all three are facing uncertain futures at the club. The reality is that all three of them could be on the move this summer, and might not be back at Liverpool.

That's the way things work at big clubs, but that doesn't meant the trio will not go onto have successful careers elsewhere.
