New Spurs manager could PUSH forward to Liverpool
Ange Postecolgou was relieved of his duties as Tottenham’s head coach following a disappointing Premier League season.
Club bosses overlooked the Australian’s historic victory in the Europa League, cutting their ties with him due to a 17th-place finish in the top flight.

Spurs have moved quickly to secure a replacement for Big Ange with Brentford’s Thomas Frank said to be the favoured candidate. And the Dane’s arrival at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium could well have a big impact on Liverpool’s summer spending.

It’s been reported on Sky Sports that Frank would seek to bring Bryan Mbeumo with him from the Gtech Community Stadium. This of course is by no means a given as Spurs coaches aren’t always given free reign over transfer targets.
But if Mbeumo joins his former boss in north London then Spurs would presumably drop their interest in another forward target in Antoine Semenyo.
Semenyo 'on the list' for Liverpool
The same Sky Sports report suggests that Tottenham are currently stepping up their interest in the Bournemouth forward. The 25-year-old is under contract with the Cherries until 2029 and it would take a sizeable bid to dislodge him from the Vitality Stadium.
Ghana international Semenyo scored 11 goals and added six assists in the Premier League last season, leading to significant transfer interest from not only Spurs but also Manchester United.
And, intriguingly, Sky Sports also states that Semenyo is ALSO a target for Liverpool this summer. Crucially the Reds would have the edge on Man Utd due to their Champions League participation.
Semenyo wants Champions League club
“He is also on the list at Liverpool this summer and is believed to favour playing for a Champions League club - but has not yet ruled out a move to Old Trafford,” the report reads.
Semenyo is well-known to Richard Hughes - Liverpool’s sporting director - who signed him for Bournemouth for around £10m from Bristol City back in January 2023.
The duo could be set to reunite at Anfield this summer if the pieces fall into place for Frank and Mbeumo at Spurs.

He can play either side of attack, potentially providing several options for Arne Slot - who could lose wingers Federico Chiesa, Ben Doak and Luis Diaz this summer along with Darwin Nunez.
