Star demands £300k to replace Luis Diaz at Liverpool
Liverpool must pay an awful lot of money if they're to sign an ideal replacement for Luis Diaz. The Colombian will join Bayern Munich shortly.
Luis Diaz will leave Liverpool in the next few days. The winger is off the Bayern Munich, with the Reds having fully agreed a deal with the Bundesliga champions.
Diaz was always a possible exit this summer. Liverpool were open to a deal at the right price - it just took a little while to get to that price.
Barcelona tried and failed to sign Diaz on the relative cheap, as did Bayern. Interest from Saudi Arabia never appeared to turn the player's head.
But Bayern have eventually paid an amount Liverpool are happy with - and after Diaz made it clear he wanted to leave. Now comes the difficult bit: finding a replacement for the squad.
And Liverpool's standout option may not be an option after his latest demands.

Rodrygo Goes wants an awful lot of money
Rodrygo Goes has been consistently linked with Liverpool over the last couple of weeks. He is expected to leave Real Madrid after falling out of favour under new boss Xabi Alonso.
And the player is reportedly waiting on an offer from the Reds. Only, we're not certain it'll arrive.
AS claims Rodrygo is chasing €10m net in yearly salary. After a bit of maths, that comes out to roughly £300k per week - an enormous sum for a player Liverpool would be taking a chance on.
There is no question that Rodrygo is a massive talent and someone we'd love to have at Liverpool. He's completely unproven as a leading star, however, and that's 'leading star' money he's after there.
£300k would make him the second-best-paid player at Liverpool after Mo Salah. That's a huge risk given there's no guarantee that he's actually better than Cody Gakpo on the left flank.
Anyone signing Rodrygo this summer is doing so because they feel Real Madrid have mishandled him. But that's not a situation that commands £300k each week.

With other reports suggesting Liverpool may bank on Rio Ngumoha instead, we think Rodrygo's demands may have ended any chance of a move to Anfield.
Rest in peace, Diogo Jota.

Why? Why? We don't want Rodrygo. He once said that Liverpool is not a team that he respects. Besides, he is lazy and will eventually fail at Anfield. Let's NOT bring in a bench player for $115M.
