Liverpool are ready to accept just €10m for a first-team star, according to reports. Surely that's far too little?

Liverpool will continue their rebuild into 2026 after a massive turnover of players in 2025. The Reds brought in over £200m in sales this year, with £450m going out on new players.

It's been an unprecedented run of transfers. Liverpool twice broke their transfer record and spent record amounts at each full-back position, too.

But there are still areas where the rebuild hasn't struck. Midfield and centre-back are the big two, and all signs point to deals next year to shake things up.

That includes outgoing deals as well as signings. And then end of the Reds' longest-serving talent.

Joe Gomez to leave

Milan Live reports that AC Milan remain interested in Joe Gomez. They actually tried to sign the centre-back right at the end of the summer window, only for the collapse of the Marc Guehi deal to also collapse this one.

But they're fully expected to move again and Liverpool are fully expected to be receptive to that. The report stats that if the Reds can sign a replacement, they'll sell Gomez.

The most surprising note is perhaps the fee. Liverpool would reportedly accept as little as €10m for Gomez, whose contract expires in 2027.

That seems incredibly low for a title-winning player who's still only 28. So while we're not surprised in the slightest that Gomez could leave, we thought the fee would be a fair way higher than that.

Of course, it all depends on Liverpool getting a replacement in first or nothing will happen. But this is unquestionably one to watch in January.
