Goncalo Ramos to Liverpool one step CLOSER
Chelsea are wasting no time in adding to their attacking options this off-season. The Blues have agreed a £30m deal with Ipswich Town for one-time Liverpool target Liam Delap but it doesn’t appear they will stop there.
Enzo Maresca’s side struggled for a consistent centre-forward all season long - with neither Christopher Nkunku nor Nicolas Jackson convincing.

And now they plan to upgrade their options even further through the acquisition of Hugo Ekitike. Of course, Liverpool are also reported to be interested in Ekitike.

The Eintracht Frankfurt frontman, 22, is available this summer but his side are seeking €100m before considering a sale. Such a price is unlikely to be met by the Reds - unless they manage to recoup plenty of money in sales.
Chelsea move into the lead for Ekitike
That’s according to a new report in Caught Offside - which claims Chelsea have overtaken Arne Slot’s side for the Frenchman.
“Liverpool want to strengthen up front as well this summer, with Darwin Nunez’s future in serious doubt, but Ekitike won’t come cheap at around €100m,” the report reads.
“Chelsea are currently felt to be leading the race for Ekitike’s signature, but Liverpool could also get involved if they are able to make player sales to help fund the move.”
Chelsea moving into the lead for Ekitike could have BIG ramifications for the Reds.
Is Ramos now one step closer?
They are set to move further down their shortlist for a striker - with Anfieldwatch revealing the club’s interest in Paris Saint-Germain’s Goncalo Ramos.
The 23-year-old is seen as a “moneyball” signing inside Anfield - and could be available for around €65m. Also, Liverpool may opt to move for Nkunku - who is available for sale and now on the radar of Tottenham.
Unable to make a decisive breakthrough under Maresca, the 27-year-old remains a fine player and was considered by Liverpool before they moved for Darwin Nunez.

So the knock-on effects from Chelsea’s Ekitike deal is set to have a big impact at Anfield. Losing him to Chelsea would be a blow - but the Reds are not standing still. They are ready to activate as more options come into play.
