Desperate move to STOP Liverpool signing another superstar
Liverpool want to bring yet another superstar player to Anfield. Now there’s a desperate move to stop that happening.
Liverpool made waves in the summer transfer window as they went on a spending spree unlike anything we’ve ever seen before. Players came in for massive amounts, with the Reds twice breaking their transfer record.
Florian Wirtz was the first signing to do that. He became the first Liverpool player to cost nine figures as a deal was struck with Bayer Leverkusen.

But they didn’t stop there. The window ended with a blockbuster deal for Alexander Isak - the most expensive player in British history.
And while those are the headline arrivals, they’re far from the only ones. Liverpool have new stars in each full-back role, a new group of goalkeeper options and an incredibly exciting striker in Hugo Ekitiké.
The Reds are building their galacticos - and they’re not done. Now measures are being taken to stop them.
Bayern Munich move forward on Michael Olise
CFBayern Insider claims that Bayern Munich want to sign Michael Olise to a new contract, despite his current deal running until 2029. Olise only actually joined them a year ago, of course.
“In the past, clubs would happily open such talks a year before the contract expired," Christian Falk told the outlet. "But now, things are different!
"If you see such quality as Olise possesses, you have to do it much earlier, otherwise, the Premier League will be quick to swoop. Manchester City are watching him, Liverpool are watching him.
“As long as his contract is running, you have a chance to keep him. Now, Bayern need to see if they can convince him that his future is in Munich. On the one hand, there is an argument to boost his salary in line with the quality of his performances, but on the other hand, Bayern still want to lower salaries throughout the squad. So, it’s not easy!”
Liverpool are reportedly eager to sign Olise if he becomes available. He'd still have a good few years left on his contract in 2026 but that doesn't mean the Reds wouldn't ready a big-money offer to tempt Bayern - and potentially unsettle the player.
But Bayern want to keep their star, understandably. They're hoping to convince Olise that his long-term future is with them and not as the latest star to head to Anfield.
Another blockbuster summer could be ahead, then. Liverpool are far from finished.
