Manager confirms star could join Liverpool next week
Liverpool could sign themselves another star next week. That's according to the player's current manager.
Liverpool continue to push for at least one more major signing to end this transfer window. They’ve already had their fair share already, of course.
Florain Wirtz, Milos Kerkez, Jeremie Frimpong and Hugo Ekitiké are all now Liverpool players. They’ve cost an absolute fortune, too - Wirtz is now the club-record transfer.

But the Reds are not done. They’re still light in a couple of areas, with up top particularly notable.
Ekitiké, after all, is the only striker in the squad. Everyone at Liverpool has their fingers crossed that Alexander Isak will join them to bolster the numbers but he’s not all they’re after.
The Reds feel they can get a deal done for Marc Guehi, though only at the right price. Guehi has just one more year on his contract, opening the door for a cut-price deal.
Oliver Glasner speaks on Marc Guehi
Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner was asked about Guehi on Thursday, naturally. He had a response on his captain's future, too.
“If Marc wants to sign a contract, then he can stay," he said, per the Guardian. "If he doesn’t want to sign a contract, then we have to look at it.
“It’s a difficult situation. Every club like us, and particularly if you’re in Europe, the financial rules are a lot tighter than the Premier League. They’re a lot tighter.
"Everybody has to sell players to, you know, comply with the rules. So that’s a situation we’ll have to look at in the next 11 days.”
Palace chairman Steve Parish has already admitted that they feel inclined to sell Guehi while they can still get a fee for him. Glasner is now confirming that they're very close to that.
It would be Liverpool who snap him up, per just about every report. The BBC say Guehi is 'likely to join Liverpool', in fact.
