Liverpool forward has offer to REPLACE Cristiano Ronaldo
Cristiano Ronaldo sent the transfer rumour mill into overdrive earlier this week. The 40-year-old Portugal legend looks set to call time on his spell at Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia.
Ronaldo declared the chapter over - and it appears he is now set to join Al-Hilal in time for the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup. His exit leaves a vacancy for a big-name player in the Al-Nassr attack alongside Liverpool legend Sadio Mane.

Luis Diaz, 28, has been earmarked for a sale this summer amid doubts over his long-term future. The Colombian has got a contract which expires in 2027 and is demanding a hefty pay rise to renew.
Luis Diaz at risk
So far Richard Hughes appears reluctant to meet the former Porto player’s demands - meaning he could be sold this summer to avoid losing him for a vastly diminished sum when his contract ticks down further.
Although Diaz has enjoyed a productive season - 13 Premier League goals as the Reds claimed the title - he is not seen as a long-term solution at centre-forward or on the left wing.
Arne Slot utilised Diaz up top in the absence of another reliable option - while Cody Gakpo would appear to be his head coach’s preference on the left.
Accordingly, should the right bid materialise then Diaz could be on his way.
'Genuine interest' from Al-Nassr in Diaz
Barcelona have been linked but will find meeting Liverpool’s asking price a challenge - with the Reds thought to be holding out for around €80m.
Therefore the presence of Al-Nassr in the bidding could be a useful cash boost for Richard Hughes as he sets about re-organising Liverpool’s attack.
“Liverpool forward Luis Díaz has been added to the list of potential signings at Al-Nassr, who are monitoring his contract situation at Anfield,” a report in the Telegraph reveals.
“Barcelona have been heavily linked with Díaz but it is understood there is genuine interest from Al-Nassr as they look to mount a Saudi Pro League title challenge after finishing second this season.”
Diaz has played for Liverpool since 2022 - winning plenty of domestic honours - and enjoyed his best season to date in 2024/25.

That said, Liverpool have to weigh up whether the Colombia international is worth keeping around on a ballooning contract - or else cash in this summer when the time is right.
