Luis Diaz at centre of MAJOR new transfer discussion
Luis Diaz's future is one of the more bizarre transfer stories of this summer window.
Absolutely anything could happen to him; whether it be a move elsewhere, another few years as a Liverpool player before he departs or we could even potentially tie him down to a contract extension.

His current wage demands are at the heart of this complex headache. At 28 years old, a decision needs to be made as to whether his numbers are enough for a long-term deal. Even though Diaz offers the team a unique skillset, Cody Gakpo is actively having his minutes limited by is presence.
In terms of an exit strategy, it has long looked as though a move to Barcelona would be his way out, but the Saudi Arabian clubs are also lingering and a new club have now expressed interest in him.
Bayern Munich add Diaz to their shortlist
Initially, the German champions were highly interested in Nico Williams from Athletic Club, but the Spanish winger is now more than likely headed to Barcelona - a blow to Liverpool and Bayern.
That move signified that a Saudi move would be the main option for Diaz. At the same time, Gakpo was added to Bayern's list of winger replacements alongside Rafael Leao at AC Milan.
Now, it seems as though Bayern are willing to scout both of Liverpool's left-wing options before making a decision, with Diaz now part of their discussions, according to Christian Falk at Sport Bild.
That will be a concern for Liverpool fans who are trying to predict what the side will look like for next season. Buying a new left-winger isn't straightforward, as Bayern are well aware.
However, we must also remember that Liverpool's willingness to sell is only for a set asking price, which is why Barcelona were priced out of a move for Diaz in the first place. Losing one of the players would mean that a significant fee will have been agreed for them, which helps massively.
You would presume only one of Diaz or Gakpo is sold, and before the season began, we would all have said that Gakpo is off the market, with the Colombian being favoured for a move elsewhere.

As such, this development is merely a boost for Gakpo's future at Liverpool and we now have another option on the table for Diaz to consider. If Bayern's interest is serious, we will have a bidding war to sit back and observe, otherwise a Saudi move could be inevitable, if he departs at all.
