The TWO free agents Liverpool might actually sign
Liverpool have their eyes on two free agents this summer. Here’s who might arrive at Anfield.
It’s a massive summer for Liverpool as they plot some major changes to the title-winning squad. That, of course, will cost as awful lot of money.

The Reds are only after elite players, after all. They want those capable of playing at the absolute highest level and to do so consistently.
Building a squad that way is far from simple but it’s the task set for Richard Hughes in his second summer window as Liverpool sporting director. So how do you make it work financially?
Well, for starters, you can sell players. Liverpool certainly plan on doing that, with several first-team stars staring at the exit door.
But the other way is to make some of the signings cheap. They don’t come cheaper than ‘no transfer fee’, either, and that’s why Liverpool are reportedly looking at some free agents.
Here are the two who genuinely might sign.

Ola Aina
Caughtoffside claimed recently that Liverpool are considering a move for Nottingham Forest’s Ola Aina. He’s out of contract in the summer after a really consistent season for his side.
Now 28, Aina would offer some maturity to the Liverpool team - a player in his prime who’s had regular football in both the Premier League and Serie A. It’s easy to see why the Reds could view him as a Trent Alexander-Arnold ‘replacement’.
Of course, he wouldn’t truly be the replacement. That’s set to be Conor Bradley but Liverpool would need competition for the role.
Snapping up a supporting player on a free transfer makes all the sense in the world. Especially one who’s shown admiration for the Reds in the past.
Jonathan David
Liverpool have liked David for a long time. He was on their shortlist back in 2020 (the last time they won the title, funnily enough) but ultimately Diogo Jota arrived instead.
But David is out of contract this summer and will leave Lille. He does so having only failed to score at least 15 league goals once - and that was his debut season in which he was only 20 and won Ligue 1. And he still managed 13.
David has become a particularly interesting target once again, though, as Liverpool look to overhaul their attack. Three forwards could all depart for Saudi Arabia this summer, including Jota.
It offers Liverpool a chance to make an enormous profit, then. They could sell forwards for high fees, bring in David on a free and use the money on other positions.

Really, we just think it makes a lot of sense. David will have most of Europe hoping to sign him this summer but Liverpool should try and force their way to the front of the queue.
