Fabrizio Romano confirms Liverpool have HOPE in chase for goalscorer supreme
Liverpool's striker hunt is in a pretty bizarre place right now.
The options available on the market are interesting in their own way, but the asking prices being put on their heads is making them feel like unattractive moves and the club doesn't know what to do.

Even despite the Reds' desperate need for a new striker, there is little confidence among Liverpool fans towards any of the targets, although the expectation that will be bought eventually remains.
One of the more attractive options might still be available and Liverpool should be taking notice.
Osimhen to Galatasaray hits a road block
The Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has been with Galatasaray since the start of last season, and his intention is to remain in Turkey for the next couple of years, if a permanent move can be agreed.
However, securing such a transfer isn't straightforward, because Napoli and desperately trying to make sure they get a deal that is both value for money, while ensuring suitable payment terms.
Currently a fee of €70m (£60m) is looking to be enough to secure the 26-year-old striker, although the most recent offer that Galatasaray made was €75m and it was rejected - which might feel bizarre.
But when broken down the bid was €40m straight away and then €35m in instalments. The lack of bank guarantees meant that Napoli couldn't agree it, so talks have stalled for the time being.
And according to Fabrizio Romano, those still holding out for a possible Liverpool deal might actually have a realistic chance of getting what they want, as Napoli are still open to different buyers.
In his latest YouTube video, he said: "At the moment, Napoli believe that other clubs could join the race for Osimhen. This is why they are not accepting the offer.
"But for sure, Galatasaray are pushing. They are insisting."
As such, we are in an incredible time-sensitive situation, with Galatasaray's delegation of executives still in Italy hoping to secure a deal, but until an agreement is reached Liverpool still have a chance.
The player scored 37 goals last season, and he hasn't delivered a campaign across all competitions where he has failed to score 18 goals in the last four years. His quality has a clear track record.

So perhaps, there might still be an opportunity to keep an eye on this one. Michael Edwards and Richard Hughes can be incredibly quick at getting what they want, so anything is possible.

Hughes and Edwards need to get a replacement for Nunez or we'll regret it. They've been all summer and our squad is short a C/H and C/F . This is bad news, so much for defending the title. I am losing confidence by the day.
I agree....LFC is leaving things too late as I pointed out elsewhere and somebody argued with me on this😞 Two things, LFC MUST successfully defend its title, AND win UEFA!! To achieve any of these goals, it must seriously reinforce the squad!!
There is huge room to do that. Firstly, forget Isak, let him stay at Newcastle, they won't win the league even with him! Secondly, they must sharpen their negotiation skills and get Rodrygo by exchanging him with Konate, the timing is perfect to do that. Then sweet talk Barcelona into an exchange for Fermin with Diaz. Lastly sell Nunez ASAP to fund Ekitike. These are immediately achievable goals.
Then there are the 3-4 players they planned to sell anyway to raise about $100m. Get that business urgently done with some sold under same conditions as Quansah. Use that income to get 3 defenders. Guehi, Diomande and Hato come to mind....the first given his experience with the premier league and as a direct replacement for Konate, the second as a Caciedo type player who can play as a CB and AM to replace Endo eventually, the third to be groomed as CB for the furure! Get Fofana also as a defence wrecker like Doku at Man City, let him run hard and freely at defences. This to me is the winning combo for LFC to defend its EPL title and win the UEFA Champions league in the 2025/6 season, and going forward!!
There i have said my piece and will keep this as a point of reference to evaluate the 2025/6 team this time next year!
