Every Liverpool supporter will have the names of a few players in their head that they think would be ideal signings for the league champions, but the name most recently linked with an Andield switch will surprise most.
Chelsea star Christopher Nkunku could be available this summer and he’s reportedly on Liverpool’s radar as they look to add firepower to an already elite side.
Liverpool in contact with Nkunku

Chelsea will be looking to recoup as much of their £50m outlay as possible, and the 27-year-old is valued at €51.7m (£44m) by Football Transfers.
Since he arrived from RB Leipzig, Nkunku has scored 17 times and assisted five times in 56 games, but the Frenchman has failed to establish himself as an integral part of the side.
Would Nkunku fit at Liverpool?
Nkunku’s biggest strength is his versatility. The 27-year-old has been deployed on both wings, as a striker, as a no.10 and a deeper central midfielder throughout his career.
Liverpool are looking to strengthen across the board this summer, and the addition of Nkunku would add depth in pretty much every attacking position.
Chelsea, having spent more than any other Premier League side since BlueCo took over, will likely need to sell players before they can buy this summer in order to comply with PSR and FFP rules.
This opens the door for Michael Edwards and Hughes to make an opportunistic signing, the type of deal they have become renowned for, adding depth and experience to an already title winning side in a potentially cut-price deal.
