Liverpool hint at MASSIVE change about to happen

Liverpool appear set to make a massive change to how they play. They're certainly hinting at it.

It's clear to everyone right now that things aren't working at Liverpool. The team looks broken, unable to string together a properly cohesive performance.

That, ultimately, is why Liverpool have lost four on the bounce for the first time in over a decade. People want to see Arne Slot try something new as a result, given the new signings don't appear to be the right fit for this system.

There's been massive turnover in the squad, after all. What worked last season won't work this season but it appears even the relatively minor tweaks made for this campaign aren't enough to glue it together.

But there's evidence that Liverpool know that. That this system isn't the plan and never actually was - not long-term, anyway.

This may simply be the Reds riding out the storm and then adjusting things a bit more.

Liverpool's big plan

There's now a lot of evidence that Liverpool are actually looking to switch to a back three system going forward. One piece of evidence there is the transfers they made this summer.

The club signed wingbacks for their full-back roles, for one. They then broke a transfer record to sign Florian Wirtz - someone who thrived in a back-three system at Bayer Leverkusen.

Liverpool also didn't buy any wingers. That would certainly make sense for a squad that doesn't plan on using out-and-out wingers long term.

What about also signing two elite strikers? Well, that makes a lot more sense if the grand plan is to have two or three more central forwards. Like you'd typically see in any back-three system.

Then there are the new targets. Liverpool have eyes on Marc Guehi, Nico Schlotterbeck (per Bild) and Diogo Leite (per Milan Live). All three are centre-backs used to playing in a back three.

Right now, the plan doesn't make sense. Liverpool appear to have signed a lot of players who don't fit together.

But through the prism of a back-three, everything does actually fit together quite nicely.

This was about to happen since we made to many changes at once, since Slot came the only way has been up but since the changes we have gone down hill ,to many are ready to put the knife in because we have lost the last 4 games they come out of the wood work to do it but to win the premier title in his first season is out standing, to suggest that he should be sacked is a joke. To these critics I will say this write us off at your peril. When we do gel which we will in time get ready. with another few players we will sort this glitch out. YNWA
