Liverpool want deal for Barcelona gem who has left his manager SPEECHLESS
Liverpool are always on the lookout for the best young talents around. It’s this procedure that brought Rio Ngumoha to the club as a 15-year-old back in 2024.
The England underage international is now part of the first-team setup under Arne Slot - with hopes high that he can flourish for the Reds in the seasons ahead.

And now it looks like they have unearthed another gem with links emerging to Barcelona prodigy Dro Fernandez.
Dro Fernandez leaves Hansi Flick speechless
The 17-year-old is now on the Liverpool radar - as well as Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea - according to a new report in Fichajes.
“Manchester United and Liverpool have joined the race to sign him, adding to the interest already shown by other clubs such as Manchester City and Chelsea,” the report reads.
“Liverpool wants to secure future stars who can keep the team competitive in the coming years.”
Dro, as he is known in Barca academy circles, reportedly left Hansi Flick and his Barcelona players SPEECHLESS having been called up to train with the first team in preseason.
Dro Fernandez is 'a chosen one'
He formed part of a trio called “the chosen ones” - alongside Jan Virgili and Jofre Torrents - who were destined to feature for the seniors during the 2025/26 Barca season.
In fact, Dro was given minutes in the first team during the Far East tour to Asia - scoring against Vissel Kobe in a friendly. Described as a natural No10 who is also comfortable out wide, comparisons have been made with another La Masia jewel in Pedri.
Dro joined the Catalans at U15 level from a club in his local region Galicia and is part of the Spanish U17 setup.
A versatile, right-footed attacker, he has played some of his football from the left - capable of drifting between the lines and testing the opposition’s goalkeeper from distance.
Could Liverpool strike for Dro Fernandez?
Fans and critics have been blown away by his close control and dribbling abilities - while his eye for a pass will ensure he gets plenty of assists.
Liverpool could well be adding a gifted attacker with lots of adaptability although it remains to be seen whether he’d join the first team or else one of the academy sides.
Dro will turn 18 in January - thereby becoming eligible to join the Reds - and is currently under contract with Barca until 2027.
It is likely the hard-up Spanish champions make an attempt to keep him and fast-track him through the first team.
But Liverpool have an opportunity to turn Dro’s head and show him the best pathway for elite young talents.
