Big changes are coming to Liverpool’s midfield this summer.

We could see the likes of Alexis Mac Allister and Curtis Jones depart the first-team picture following a season of underperformance.

Mac Allister is out of contract in 2028 and so far no talks have been held over a new deal - leading to speculation that sporting director Richard Hughes is ready to cash in.

Jones could be Serie A-bound with both Inter Milan and more recently Juventus thought to be keen on bringing the 25-year-old to the peninsula.

Liverpool want Bouaddi deal

There has been no shortage of candidates linked with an Anfield arrival - from Lamine Camara to Aurelien Tchouameni and Adam Wharton. In the background over the past few windows has been Ayyoub Bouaddi.

The Lille midfielder - now a full Morocco international at the FIFA World Cup - looks set to move on for a bumper fee this summer.

And although a deal for Paris Saint-Germain was imminently expected to be concluded Liverpool are not giving up without a fight.

According to a new report in TEAMtalk the outgoing Premier League champions - alongside Real Madrid - have recently engaged in talks over a deal for the 18-year-old.

And while Arsenal and PSG remain firmly in the race there is no conclusion yet in sight for the £60m-rated schemer.

Real Madrid and Liverpool making enquiries for Bouaddi deal

“Real Madrid and Liverpool have both made fresh enquiries about Lille wonderkid Ayyoub Bouaddi in recent days,” the report reads.

“Lille believe Bouaddi could command a world-record fee for an 18-year-old – likely over £60million (€70m, $79m).”

“Real Madrid and Liverpool have stepped up their monitoring of the Morocco international’s situation and held talks with the player’s camp.

“Arsenal remain one of the clubs driving the race. PSG remain firmly involved.”

Ayyoub Bouaddi: Situation summary

Ayyoub Bouaddi is a Franco‑Moroccan central midfielder born in Senlis in October 2007 who plays for Lille and represents Morocco internationally.

Standing around 1.85m, he broke through in Ligue 1 as a teenager and has since emerged as one of the standout midfield prospects of his generation, enhanced by his World Cup exposure with Morocco.

Bouaddi profiles as a pivot controller rather than a high‑usage final‑third playmaker, operating between centre‑backs and inside the opposition structure to connect phases and stabilise possession.

He offers press resistance, clean short and medium distribution and intelligent support angles, often fixing opponents to open lanes for others rather than forcing himself on the ball, with his value rooted more in tempo management and build‑up cohesion than headline actions.

Contractually, Lille moved early to protect his value with a long‑term extension running to 2029, effectively ending near‑term exit talk and giving them leverage to set premium valuations.

Current guidance suggests an asking price in the €75–100m range, with Arsenal and PSG at the front of the queue and Bayern also monitoring, making an eventual step to the Premier League or a Champions League heavyweight the most plausible next move if Lille cash in before the end of his deal.
