How Arne Slot can BOOST Liverpool's transfer budget
What you might not realise is how much of an impact Arne Slot's decisions can make to Liverpool's summer plans. Some of the bold calls he made today will now have repercussions.
The club will undergo a period of change this summer, with many of the 'deadwood' players being released in favour of bringing a freshness into the squad.

A lot of clubs have already declared their interest in some of the fringe players that are likely to leave and managing those open conversations is going to be key to any potential deals.
However, after a long season, and with the Premier League title already wrapped up, there is a temptation to rotate the squad and give minutes to some of the players who have been under-played.
One problem with that is that deep-down, there is a reason why they have struggled to break into the team and play as regularly as they would've liked. Today's performance against Chelsea told a story.
How Slot's lineup changes could end up costing the club money
At Stamford Bridge this afternoon, Liverpool were dreadful. Following five years away, we finally saw a return to Hungover FC - a side that wear the club's badge but look nothing like a title-winning team.
The players had been partying, a lot, just as the fans have been making the most of the latest trophy win.
Had the title been won on the final day of the season, then you would not have seen the team's lackadasical efforts, but with three games to go, you might well see a reduction in standards.
After all, the title is already guaranteed. Who cares anymore?
Well, the players certainly should do still, especially those who were gifted the rare chance to start the game as part of Slot's commitment to rotate the team a little more often as a way to assess those who might be at risk of leaving this summer.
On show today, there were worrying signs for Jarrell Quansah, Harvey Elliott and Darwin Nunez.
Quansah has struggled for confidence all season, and today his lack of rhythm was clear for all to see. His 90 minutes had everything; three clearances, two blocks, an interception, a last man tackle and 102 touches on the ball, alongside an error leading to a shot, an incredibly unfortunate own goal that he could do nothing about, and he committed a penalty foul late on.
His talent is there for all to see, but he was once again unable to show himself off. Despite the enormous potential he has, any suitor in the transfer market will be aware that he is still very raw.
Likewise, Elliott had it rough. His start today was the first he has had in the Premier League all season and you could tell. His performance involved two accurate long-balls, one successful dribble and one ground duel won. That was it. As such, he offered very little for anyone to take away with them.
And then we come to Nunez. It has already been reported that he is one start away from Liverpool having to pay Benfica a further £5m add-on windfall because he will have reached 60 starts in both the league and the Champions League. The club will be aware of this, so he started on the bench.

In his 32 minute cameo, he missed a big chance (by a long way), won three out of five duels and made a tackle. Hardly a game changing effort while his team was losing. Is his head already elsewhere?
All three players might be on their way out of the door before next season starts. Liverpool will have to assess each one on their individual merit following a tough season, despite the team's success.
But Slot will now be more aware than ever that he cannot afford to keep changing his team.
Certain players can be pushed into the spotlight a little more - Conor Bradley, for example, needs to showcase his ability to regularly start at right-back if he is to replace Trent Alexander-Arnold - although it will be a fine balance to manage if their valuations are to remain high.
