A Liverpool super talent now looks likely to stay at the club and reject Man City's and Chelsea's advances.

Over the last few years, the Reds have made it a tendency to steal some of the biggest talents in the United Kingdom from their parent clubs.

From Trey Nyoni to Rio Ngumoha, Bobby Clark and Ben Doak. Even Raheem Sterling was poached from Queens Park Rangers, as was Harvey Elliott from Fulham.

But now they could be getting a taste of their own medicine, or at least that's what it seemed to be with Joshua Abe.

Who is the young Liverpool attacker?

We wrote about him in detail here. But the bottom line is that the 15-year-old is the biggest talent in the country in his age-group.

As a result Manchester City and Chelsea among other clubs are all vying for his services and offering the prospect of lucrative deals.

Liverpool haven't really been in such a high-profile situation before. Most of the time it has been them getting deals over the line, particularly high profile ones like Elliott and Ngumoha.

The club however is doing everything they can to keep Abe at the club. Recently, Liverpool gave him his debut in the UEFA Youth League at just 15-years-old, becoming the youngest ever to make an appearance at that level for the Reds.

Abe is now a regular at U18 level and he's also regularly training with the first-team.

He first got the opportunity last week, when he participated in a first-team training session for those players who did not participate in the game against Qarabag.

It was mostly a recovery session.

However, this week Abe trained with the first-team again. This time it was not a recovery session but a proper training ahead of the club's clash against Manchester City on Sunday.

For Liverpool to be giving this much attention and opportunity to a 15-year-old, he has to be special. He also has to be staying at the club.

The Reds will not give a pathway to a player they don't believe wants to remain at Anfield.

Abe may have more lucrative financial offers from other clubs but ultimately the pathway for him at Liverpool is the clearest.

Mo Salah is likely going to be leaving in the summer, leaving Jeremie Frimpong as the club's only other option on the right-wing, which is where Abe plays.

Now he's being given the opportunity to train with the first-team and already get a taste of that environment. He must now believe there is a good chance of him even debuting for the first-team potentially this season but definitely next season.

He'll also likely be involved in pre-season. Would Abe get that opportunity elsewhere? Chelsea and Man City are littered with inflated squads. He'll just be another player there. At Liverpool he has special status and that could very well entice him to stay. At the end of the day, he will be given strong financial terms by the Reds as well, but the most important thing for a young player is having that route to first-team football.

Based on how the club has handled him in recent weeks and objectively looking at what is the best decision in his career, it looks likely that Abe will be staying and will agree a new deal while rejecting those alluring advances from the club's rivals.
