Liverpool went through a tonne of change in the 2025-26 summer transfer window and it doesn't seem like they're slowing down any time soon.

The Reds spent a hefty chunk of change on trying to improve their ranks a few months ago and although things finally seem to be falling into place, their start to the season was far from ideal.

At the moment, Hugo Ekitike and Florian Wirtz are carrying the Anfield outfit on their backs with other such as Cody Gakpo and Mohamed Salah failing to live up to the standards they've set over the last few years.

And, even though fans believe their team still needs to be strengthened, it could be about to get weakened if the latest rumours are to be believed.

The 2025-26 Premier League season is pretty much a write off for Liverpool.

They find themselves outside of the top four spots and, to be honest, it feels like they'd be lucky to qualify for the Champions League this term.

Indeed, they still have the Champions League and FA Cup to fight for but, in terms of their Premier League performance, it feels like they've massively under performed.

A lot of this is down to the lack of depth they've had in defence which is why it's hard to understand why Andy Robertson and Ibrahima Konate haven't been offered new contracts yet.

Both players have been stalwarts within the Reds' ranks ever since they joined and, even though they may want a little more money than they currently earn, with the options on the market, it feels like a no-brainer.

However, with only a few months left of the season, Liverpool are closer to losing the duo than they are to keeping them.

Celtic are 'keen' on signing Andy Robertson on a free transfer from Liverpool

According to a fresh report from TEAMtalk, Celtic are 'keen' on adding Robertson to their ranks this summer.

The Scottish giants already brought Kieran Tierney in from Arsenal in the 2025-26 summer transfer window but it seems like they could do with some reinforcements.

The report outlines that the Bhoys would be able to offer the Scotsman 'good wages' due to them not needing to pay a transfer fee to sign him on.

Several clubs such as Atletico Madrid and Tottenham have been linked with a move for the 31-year-old in the past, but, on the face of things, a move to Celtic makes plenty of sense.

He'd become a regular starter and would still be able to feature in some of Europe's top competitions.

Robertson would also be able to add a couple more trophies to his cabinet and return home, which, in the twilight of his career, is likely something that he's looking to do.
