Giorgi Mamardashvili is one of those young talents. He’s one of the best goalkeepers in the world and he’s proven that both at Euro 2024 last season and in La Liga over the course of the last few season.

He’s now set to join the Reds and compete with Alisson for the no.1 spot.

Behind him, Liverpool have a wealth of talent as well with Vitezslav Jaros currently considered the third choice goalkeeper.

Jaros though is expected to be on the move. Which is why Liverpool have signed Golden Boy nominee Armin Pecsi from Puskas Akademia.

The Hungarian youth international is regarded as one of the best talents in Europe. And he’s not the only one who is considered in the same bracket.

EXCLUSIVE: Wonderkid will join Liverpool first team in pre-season

According to Dutch outlet De Telegraaf Jaros ‘is considered one of the biggest goalkeeper talents in Europe.’

And the report claims that Ajax are now hoping to loan him from Liverpool for the upcoming season.

With Johnny Heitinga who was an assistant under Arne Slot last season taking over at Ajax, this seems like an ideal move for Jaros.

Heitinga will know him well from the 12 months or so they spent together over the course of last season.

There’s also a bit of a goalkeeping crisis at Ajax, which means Jaros will be considered as the club’s first choice goalkeeper if he signs and that will provide him with a huge opportunity to make progress in his career.

From Ajax, the sky is the limit and that’s why Liverpool are set to offer him a new deal before he is sent out on loan.

Anfield Watch understands that currently, Jaros’ contract expires in 2026. He signed that extension last year before he went on loan to Sturm Graz.

Anfield Watch understands Liverpool will not let him go on loan without signing a new deal which would essentially render him a free agent come the end of his loan spell.

That’s why a new contract will be offered to Jaros in order to keep one of the biggest goalkeeping talents in Europe at the club.

He’s proven over the course of the last year or so that he can have a huge impact.

Jaros played a massive role in helping Sturm Graz win the league title during the 2023/24 campaign and he stepped up to the task when needed at Liverpool last season.

His maiden Premier League appearance against Crystal Palace ensured that he now has a Premier League winner’s medal.

Meanwhile, his performance against Brighton in the League Cup showcased what he is about, with Jaros making some extraordinary saves.
