Liverpool move one step CLOSER to signing new left-back
Liverpool are in the running for a new left-back this summer. There have been extensive links to Milos Kerkez of Bournemouth - while players such as Antonee Robinson and Rayan Ait-Nouri have been mentioned.
But before a new left-back is signed, it is highly probable that one of the current options in the position will leave.

Andy Robertson has been a loyal servant to the Reds since arriving from Hull City back in 2017. He’s won all there is to win in the club game - but this season has looked short of his best.

At 31, and with only one year left on his contract, it has been speculated that Robbo might well be coming to the end of the road at Anfield.
Right now it appears likely he will leave with a fond farewell at the end of his current deal rather than being forced out the door this summer.
Tsimikas lined up for exit
The 29-year-old Greece international has been at the club since 2020 - when he arrived from Olympiacos for around ÂŁ12m.
Tsimikas has never really shown the class or quality to become a permanent successor to Robertson throughout his time at the club - although he has had a lot more starts (17) this season than he might have expected.
But with new left-backs lined up, the player contracted until 2027 might well find himself squeezed out.
A diverse set of teams ranging from Barcelona to Fulham have been linked with signing Tsimikas - although now a newly-promoted side could be in the running.
According to Lewis Steele in the Daily Mail, Leeds United are weighing up whether to make a move for him in the upcoming window.
Leeds close in on Firpo replacement
The Whites need Premier League reinforcements following their promotion from the Championship and current first-choice Junior Firpo is likely to leave on a free for Real Betis.
Accordingly, it has been reported that Tsimikas is a target for Daniel Farke.
“Leeds are considering a move for Kostas Tsimikas this summer after their promotion to the Premier League,” Steele states.
“It is widely anticipated that Leeds' current left back Junior Firpo will join Real Betis and Daniel Farke’s men are in the market for a replacement with Premier League experience.”

If Tsimikas leaves, that should put the Reds one step closer to landing a new left-back. There won’t be space for three senior options on the books and sadly for Tsimikas he looks like he is the one to miss out.
