Liverpool in battle to agree deal for MYSTERY 20-year-old
Liverpool are reportedly in for a mystery 20-year-old signing. Now we just need to figure out who it is.
Liverpool have under two weeks left of the winter transfer window but they’re yet to actually sign anyone for their first-team. The Reds have made a few youth deals but no one to boost Arne Slot’s squad.
And that’s a problem, given Slot’s squad keeps depleting. Injuries have torn through it this season, with Giovanni Leoni and Conor Bradley both out for the season.
Alexander Isak is out long-term, too - we can’t imagine he’s back until around April or May after fracturing his leg. It leaves things light, though apparently not light enough for Liverpool to make any moves.
They’ve let Marc Guehi disappear to Manchester City, after all, without really getting involved again. But that isn’t to say that everything is on pause.

Liverpool’s mystery target
Haber Sarikirmizi reports that Galatasaray are currently chasing a new signing. However, information about the player is incredibly limited.
Journalist Burhan Can Terzi gives the ‘details’ but there are only two: he’s 20 and Liverpool are rivalling Galatasaray for his signing. And that’s all we’ve got.
It’s anyone’s guess who the player is, then, and Liverpool haven’t been linked with too many 20-year-old’s lately. We imagine it’s a player with a decent reputation but probably quite raw, if there’s any chance of him heading to Turkey, anyway.
In fact, we’d imagine it’s a case of first-team football in Turkey vs a development process in Liverpool. That’s a tough decision that every talented youngster faces in modern football - do you take the immediate senior games or the ‘bigger’ club?
We’ll just wait and see what happens, then. Don’t be surprised to learn the name of the mystery player sometime soon, though - it certainly sounds as though they’re on the move.

Galatasary right now are looking at a main striker, 2 defenders, one from Villa and another who is 27 years old. They are taking 2 players from Napoli and are looking at Milans Fofana... none of who are 20 years old. They are looking at Summerville and Gomes from Wolves and again neither are 20. In fact every player they are going for is over 24 years old
