Ryan Gravenberch punishment CONFIRMED
Liverpool's final game of the season at Anfield was a spectacle to behold.
The players begrudgingly played 90 minutes against Crystal Palace before the headline act of the day was finally able to take place - the lifting of the Premier League trophy.

But sadly, hidden in the fine print of that fateful Sunday was a minor negative that Ryan Gravenberch was dismissed by Darren England with a straight red card, despite sitting on a yellow at the time.
Fortunately, due to the nature of the incident, the caution is no worse than if it had been a second yellow card offence, but the Dutchman will have to wait almost three months for his suspension.
Speculation had followed regarding when the ban could take place, although we now have clarity.
Gravenberch's fate has been sealed
According to Lewis Steele at the Daily Mail, the midfielder will receive a one-match ban and the specific details about when it can be served have been released.
In the report, it says: "A few people suggested that he [Gravenberch] will miss the Community Shield, also against Oliver Glazer's Eagles, and therefore [would] be available to play the first match of Liverpool's Premier League title defence.
"But having checked with the FA and Premier League, Confidential can confirm that the suspension will be for the league and not count the Wembley curtain-raiser."
It is not uncommon for suspensions in the league to be served in different domestic competitions, but it these circumstances, it is understood that the Community Shield is not one of them.
When Liverpool receive cautions in the Champions League, they can only be served under UEFA's supervision, so it is also not uncommon for competitions to have specific conditions to be met.
As such, Arne Slot and Gravenberch will both have relaxing summer holidays and pre-season tours, but a replacement will need to be found to take his place in the opening match of the season.
Both Alexis Mac Allister and Curtis Jones have played the No. 6 role at times previously, and Wataru Endo is an assured pair of hands to use if the Japanese international isn't transferred elsewhere.
Furthermore, it is not unlikely that Stefan Bajcetic will rejoin the Reds for next season, and the Spanish youngster would be the ideal candidate to become Gravenberch's understudy moving forward.

Whoever comes in will hopefully be able to cover the Dutchman for what is likely to the only Premier League game he misses next season - injury and fitness permitting - but it just shows what an impact a lapse in judgement can have during what was essentially a dead-rubber game of football.
