Liverpool are set to see a fantastic injury boost confirmed. The Reds desperately needed this.
Liverpool lost again on Saturday as Chelsea beat them 2-1 at Stamford Bridge. It wasn't a good performance, even if the Reds were unfortunate not to claim a point in the end.
And that's the recent trend. It's now three consecutive defeats for Arne Slot's team, who just can't put things together at the moment.
Making things worse are the potential injury absences. Alisson Becker is out for the next little while and Giovanni Leoni likely won't play again this season.
Then there were two further problems against Chelsea. Ibrahima Konate picked up a knock, as revealed by Slot after the match, while Andy Robertson appeared to limp off the pitch at the end.

It's a pair of injuries that could create serious problems for Liverpool. However, they're set to receive a major boost on one of them.
Ibou Konate injury boost
Le Parisien reports that Konate will join up with the French national team for the international break. He's set to undergo a scan this week to confirm things but the expectation is that he's fine to play.
Slot did say in his comments after the Chelsea defeat that he wasn't aware if it was a significant injury or not. In fact, he intended to make the same change regardless.
And it seems that Liverpool have got lucky with this one. The Alisson one, let alone Leoni's situation, felt like brutal blows to the squad, so we're happy with the positive news here.
Konate may not have started the season at his best but he's still one of the best defenders around. Not to mention the fact that Liverpool can't afford to drop a further centre-back with Leoni missing.
Hopefully, then, we get the news confirmed this week - and something similar with Robertson, too.
