Liverpool coach announces world-class forward will soon join first-team

Another world-class forward could soon be in the club's first-team according to the Reds' U21 coach.

Liverpool are blessed with supreme strikers at the moment. In Alexander Isak they have the best forward in the entire league and Hugo Ekitike is not far behind either.

The 23-year-old is one of the best young strikers on the planet right now. He's started his Liverpool career on fire and continues to catch the eye every time he dons the Liverbird on his chest.

Arne Slot is really spoilt for choice and there is a world in which he will probably have to figure out how to get Ekitike and Isak both in the starting line-up.

They are that good, they deserve to play together.

But then if they are both on the pitch at the same time, who will be the back-up option? Well there might soon be an answer to that.

At this moment in time, the solution appears to be Federico Chiesa. However, Slot doesn't entirely seem to trust the Italian. Chiesa struggles to get on the pitch, even though when he does play, he normally catches the eye.

Observes often wonder what more he needs to do in order to get in Slot's good books. For one reason or another he just simply isn't fancied by the manager.

We don't quite know why that is. But it does mean there is a spot for someone else to grab as the back-up no.9 to Ekitike and Isak, and there's no better candidate for this role than Jayden Danns.

He's an exciting forward in the club's academy, who has in flashes shown what he can do at first-team level as well.

Danns is now working closely with the club's U21 coach Rob Page who announced that he believes the Liverpool youngster is good enough to be England's first-choice no.9 in the future.

“I’ve got Jayden Danns here as well who’s probably going to be the next England No.9 in years to come,” Page told talkSPORT in an exclusive interview.

This is an exciting revelation. The fact that Page rates Danns so highly he foresees him becoming the replacement for Harry Kane for England is a massive declaration.

It means, Page believes Liverpool have a player with world-class potential. Anyone capable of starting games for England and being the next no.9 for the Three Lions has to have that ability.

It also means, Page believes that sooner or later Liverpool's first-team won't just have Isak and Ekitike as world-class forwards but Danns will be joining them as well to give Slot a mouthwatering trio.
