Liverpool midfielder Harvey Elliott has opened up on the day his brother met Roberto Firmino.

The Brazil international has been a staple in Jurgen Klopp's team for seven years now. Firmino has made over 300 appearances for Liverpool under the German.

The 30-year-old has also helped Liverpool win five major trophies. In other words, Firmino is a club legend.

With that being the case, he is adored by the Anfield faithful. In fact, Elliott has revealed that his younger brother, who is a Liverpool fan, potentially cried when he met Firmino.

He told SoccerBible the following: “My little brother is a Liverpool fan and he’s been a Liverpool fan all along, so for him to be able to go along to all the games, home and away, to meet the players - he met Roberto Firmino for the first time and I actually think he did cry to be honest!

“For them (family) as well it’s a dream come true (to be involved with Liverpool).”

Anfield Watch Verdict

It is brilliant to hear that Elliott and his family are invested in the club. The reality is, some players come in and don't understand how lucky they are to be involved with Liverpool.

However, that is not the case for Elliott and his family.

On another note, the culture at the club has never been stronger during the Premier League era.

For the first time in a long time, Liverpool are one of the best teams in the world. But, the team has managed to stay humble. We have Klopp to thank for that.

Hopefully the German can continue to bring in good footballers/people in the coming years. If he can do that, we are confident that the Reds will continue to be successful.
